Dear Zeul,
Having this problem with NM4U 2.0.13 & 2.0.14 backing up Slacker Criterion R1:
Procedure Name: UpdateMPV
Module Name: ExecuteProgram
Error Number: 76
Error Description: Path not found
Error Source: Project1
Error Line: 114
Call Stack:
UpdateMPV --> ExecuteProgram
StartNuMenu4u --> ExecuteProgram
go_Click --> MainForm
I tried uninstalling and re-installing and it didn't help. I should probably note that this is the first issue I've encountered in past 6-7 months using NM4U. Please let me know if you need the files.

sounds like your missing one of the sub applications like the updated revpulldown
not sure if there's something else that could be missing.... did you try a full install of 12 then upgrade to 14?
wfn1
28th June 2005, 18:57
I only have .13 and .14 atm but I haven't tried the update install like you suggested. What's the name of the rev pulldown so I can check if I have it?
D3s7
29th June 2005, 01:41
revpulldown.exe :)
it be in the numenu install dir
FYI: for all as well, Zeul is on holiday for the next two weeks... please keep the posts coming about issues but bare w/ the rest of us as we try to help in his leave
wfn1
29th June 2005, 05:16
hmm, i have revpulldown.exe in my numenu dir. unfortunately i was not able to find an update version of .14, just a full install. i'll keep experimenting and will let you know how it goes. btw, the error i get is right at the very beginning, nm4u doesn't even run dvddecrypter.

@wfn1
I have update the build to 2.0.15. Please try. That error would have been caused by NTSC.mpv missing from the install dir.
wfn1
29th June 2005, 18:11
Thank you Zeul,
Unfortunately that didn't work. Errored out with the same information. Also, i checked and NTSC.mpv is in the istalled directory.
*** EDIT: I was a bit off on the # of PGCs, it's 835 to be exact. If i hold a cursor over NM4U right before it errors out it displays this message in a baloon:
"Total PGCs = 835"

I got the latest update; however, it still says 2.0.14 up in the menu bar. Is this correct?
@ jerseyman
i think it is showing the last (full-installed) version number.
on my work pc, it is reading 2.0.13.
i doubt that it affects anything though ...
hey zeul,
i know your having a well earned rest but if you happen to drop in .... ;)
i have received this error in vob preview on nearly every disc i have tried:(-2147220907) Automation error
Procedure Name: Get4PlayBack
Module Name: PreviewM2v
Error Number: -2147220907
Error Description: Automation error
Error Source: ErrorHandler
Error Line: 7
Call Stack:
Get4PlayBack --> PreviewM2v
PreviewTree_Click --> PreviewM2v
StartNuMenu4u --> ExecuteProgram
go_Click --> MainForm
i have also had three menus fail in the muxman stages - the final lines of the muxman.log for one of these is:
No useable subpictures found for PGC "VTS01EnglishPGC16"
and for another:
No useable audio found for PGC "VTS04EnglishPGC2"
i'll wait till your back to send you the files.
cheers

@Zeul, hey I also tried ProCoder 2 version 2.04.02.00 and am getting some errors. It encodes fine, but during the encode; seems to be maybe the short segments; procoder pops up and says that the temp file it is trying to write already exists. All I do is wait like 5 seconds, keep the same name then it's fine. Not sure if it's all happening too fast and the temp file isn't getting deleted fast enough (if it gets deleted or renamed as I am not sure what it does). I never tried any earlier version of procoder 2.
This issue is now solved.
Thanks to D3s7 for the help and testing.

Thanks robot1.
Jel what version of muxman you been using? Before me hols 0.15a fixed these issues. Have to check on the preview error though
Jel shoot me those mxp files

Hi Zeul,
I'm getting the following error on installing 2.0.17:
c:\Program Files\NuMenu4u\cygwin1.dll
Unable to register the DLL/OCX : DllRegisterServer export not found
I didn't receive this error on previous builds so I thought I'd let you know.

Hi Zeul,
I'm getting the following error on installing 2.0.17:
c:\Program Files\NuMenu4u\cygwin1.dll
Unable to register the DLL/OCX : DllRegisterServer export not found
I didn't receive this error on previous builds so I thought I'd let you know.
Just a note - I got the same error but on build 2.0.16 too.. just clicked Ignore and went on with no apparent problems
for those users receiving the "c:\Program Files\NuMenu4u\cygwin1.dll
Unable to register the DLL/OCX : DllRegisterServer export not found" error, it is as a result of this new feature:
• Added the ability to generate an ISO image. IF the re-authored menu + the original title VOBs are less than 4.3GB then the original title VOBS will be copied over and an ISO created. If DIF4U is in control it will be shut down. This is a VIP option only.
simply add the mksiofs.exe & cygwin.dll from imgtoolclassic into the install folder.
cheers

Zeul,
Update: My issue with Slacker (R1) menu didn't really go away after I upgraded to .17
Instead of getting an error this time NM just copies everything from the source directory to the target directory without processing anything.

same here

12th July 2005, 08:06
@wfn1
As i already said, this is in your case is due to the # of vob files, and that scenarist can't handle that #, there is nothing i can do about it - apart from skip the VTS and copy it instead of processing. Using muxman would not have this restriction. Check the Help file
@flu
Same menu or the same on a different one?
If this situation does arrive, it is written into the LOG file
For those receiving the reg error on install, my mistake, I had accidently set the installer to register the cygwin.dll, but this is not required.

I have uploaded a corrected build, that will address the installer issue.

Zeul,
Working on Blackhawk Down (R1) extended edition (3-dvd set).
On the first dvd with the main movie I get this:
Window 'vobtest' with a yellow exclamation triangle says 'can't open'. After I click the only available 'OK' this follows:
Procedure Name: ReadD2VFile
Module Name: AssetProcess
Error Number: 53
Error Description: File not found
Error Source: Project1
Error Line: 13
Call Stack:
ReadD2VFile --> AssetProcess
ProcessVideo --> AssetProcess
NewDVD2AVIProc --> AssetProcess
StartNuMenu4u --> ExecuteProgram
go_Click --> MainForm

I wonder why vobtest failed - however it should have fallen back to a deep analysis instead. Another bug to find and fix :eek:

you need the files on this one?

Not sure yet, will try to recreate by manually disabling vobtest (to simulate the failure), and see what happens

14th July 2005, 03:38
Zeul,
Just sent you the files for Blackhawk Down (R1). Also, getting back to my Slacker (R1) issue - installed Muxman .15c and enabled VIP this is what I get after CCE encoding completes:
Procedure Name: CorrectIfos
Module Name: ExecuteProgram
Error Number: 5
Error Description: Invalid procedure call or argument
Error Source: Project1
Error Line: 38
Call Stack:
CorrectIfos --> ExecuteProgram
EnableUpdateIFO --> ExecuteProgram
After I click ok NM 'stops responding' and starts eating up memory and CPU for about 2 minutes and then terminates.

@wfn1
I need to see the logfile for the last error
You're previous error about vobtest - that has occured because no VOB file exists in the SUB folder. The .bat file was created correctly - can you give me a directory listing of the DEMUXED folder.
Damn dog, you're finding lots of bugs :D

I'm getting Scenarist Script error after installing 2.0.17 of NuMenu4u. I've tried 3 different movies, and got the same thing. I installed over my last NuMenu4u install, should I uninstall it, then reinstall? All the rest of the updates worked fine installing over the older one. I'll send my log file to you Zeul.

hello,
I have problems to use softencode in 2.0.18. If I doubleklick the softencode executable, numenu tells me that the specified folder is wrong. All oder versions from numenu4u runs like a charm with softencode. So is it possible that there is a bug in 2.0.18?? I have made no changes to softencode! No reinstall and so on. If I downgrade to 2.0.14 no problems.....
Zeul
20th July 2005, 20:41
Found the bug in setting the SoftEncode path, fixed in the next build. For now as a workaround, set the path directly into the registry.

hmm, I´ve downloaded and installed the 2.0.19 but the softencode issue still exist.
NuMenu told me that the softencode executable is not in the specified folder.
I have installed winxp mce 2005 sp2 german version. softencode is installed in c:\programme\Sonic Foundry Soft Encode\SFTENCDD.EXE
If I downgrade to 2.0.14 no errors......
OK I put the path from softencode manually in numenu4u registry and it works fine. :)

:D Hi Zeul,
Well, I just spent the last hour typing an error report with as much info as possible. Unfortunately I noticed that the error was my fault as I had "Create multiple mxp scripts (v0.14a+)" checked instead of "Create a full mxp script (v0.15 RC2+)"
Everything works now. To make me feel like I'm not a complete loser for wasting all this time, I'll post that you did a really great job on the "Help Menu" :D
