2- When install VobSub it blocked in final process. It may EndTask to finish installing GK
Same here. It was already in 28 version. When installing VobSub (from the GK installer) everything goes fine but at the end the vobsub-installer doesn´t close himself, it stays there wayting for --nothing--. You must go to the task manager and close the VobSub-whatever process manually to continue with the GK instalation.

edit: yeah, seems to be okay. Just point r4r to DGIndex.exe.

That looks simply beautiful :)
The dropdowns are all here and there's a lovely submenu for decomb ;)
Thank you for fixing what was bugging me, even though I'd badly phrased it :)

Hi tHe gLouCh
I would like that the update *.ini file of Portuguese language could join to its projecto already.
In the next updates I would like that it could inform me of the alterations that the text of the GK_portuguese.ini file came to have to be more easy and faster to make some corrections.
It can make download here. (http://doom9pt.layer.biz/GK_portuguese.ini)
Thanks

It's more easy for you to use a good file comparison tool like ExamDiffPro.

P.S. actually there is one at sourceforge: on the first start overhead is ticked despite the fact that XviD is selected.

I've found a big one concerning Chapters: cannot save chapters info to .job file, so when you load a job with "Mux Chapters info" GK stops. I am working on it.

Aye, I noticed this, but I thought it was me who'd ticked it by mistake since it didn't reappear.
Other than that , the pop ups in the advanced avs are in french (OK, cancel, that type of stuff), minor thing really :)

Oh. Thanks for the info. I've used it checked on two 2CD encodes, and I didn't experience any problems. Is there any way I can check the encodes and see if it did indeed screw something up?

1) First of all, the avisynth filters descriptions is not my work at all but were taken from the AVSEdit CVS on sourceforge www.avisynth.org. We must thanks Dolemite, seewen, and Wilbert for their descriptions !!!
So if you want to work on those descriptions, contact them please.
I will look at it next week.
Nice to hear that those descriptions are being used in GKnot ! Btw, most of them are written by the authors of the plugins.
niamh
16th June 2004, 14:27
There was a misunderstanding there I think :). I wasn't doubting the descriptions at all, but the fact that in GK, the field orders defaults in the avs script are tff (e.g. when you click tomsmocomp in the avs GK box, you get a tff tomsmocomp in the script, same for IVTC and whichever other), while the actual defaults for these filters are bff (which is what the glouch pasted in the filter window, and which is what you would get if you added the filters through the add filter window). So technically, I got it wrong, and fell right into the trap, and head first at that.I hope nobody else does ;)

thanks for the great release, lots of nice features but i am unable to use some filters like MSharpen, it says MSharpen.dll is missing. i can see a file name MSharpen.xml in the avisynth plugin dir but theres no MSharpen.dll. do i need to download and put all the dlls there or theres someother way i dont know.
thanks.

Yes you do, the xml files are used for comments only, and GK comes bundled with more xml than dll's.
You can get any additional dll's here (http://www.avisynth.org/warpenterprises/) .(It's a database of all the avisynth filters under the sun).Unfortunately, the site has been hacked this week, so you need to wait until it's back to normal. :)
For MSharpen in particular, and other Donald Graft's filters you can go there (http://neuron2.net/mine.html)
Make sure you download the avisynth 2.5 compatible dll's, not the 2.0 ones :).
Then extract them in avisynth plugins folder, and that's it.
thanks niamh for the info, downloaded the filters...working fine.

I installed new GK 0.30 alpha.
Am I making something wrong here? When I make an avs-file, "cropping" is before interlacing. This causes lots of errors on the picture.
This was OK in 0.28 version. ("Cropping" was after interlacing in avs-file)
Then I have another problem, I'am not sure is this correct thread, but here it goes.
When saving project (d2v) and demuxing audio (ac3) from vob-file with DGIndex 1.0.12, delay in ac3 filename is allways 0ms even it should be somethhing else e.g. -66ms.

"should" ? :)
In fact DGIndex is producing correct delay, but only for DGDecode.dll.

Glad to see mkv support.
But I got a little shut down problem with 0.29 alpha.
Gk could not shut down my computer after encoding.
0.28.8 don not have this problem on my computer

The fault is sure to be mine, but why am I getting this error message with GK <not a valid d2v, avs or avi file> ?
Installed v029 and then 030a over existing installation and created DGIndex file.
Had to skip to DVD2AVIdg1.77.3dg1.0.0RC2 to create a second project file. GK refuses then to load that file again, but if I re-try to open DGI-project file it works!!
Funny that with DGI the slider stopped a few centimeters before end of progress bar...
Maybe a conflict of co-working dll's or ini files?
Both D2A versions reside in different subfolders in GK folder.

Indeed. And is has been installed with it as it was included in 0.29.
BTW. In avs script written with GK decomb.dll gets ALWAYS loaded. Reason?

The answer is in the question :). You need to uninstall and delete registry keys and make a fresh install, as I think was said on page 1 of this thread..EDIT:
posted by jggimi:
Well, I had a few problems ... particulary when playing with DGIndex and with the new SaveAVS structure, so I perfomed a registry cleaning uninstall then reinstalled 28.8 and 29a.8211. Those problems all went away.
That applied to me as well, clean reinstall works.

But you did start with reinstalling 0.28.8 right?
So did I now, but 0.29 is a full install package with SOME changes to previos versions...
niamh
19th June 2004, 15:36
Well back then, it wasn't yet, that's the thing.
so I suppose a clean install of 0.29 full should work now, things move so fast ;) But that still involves making sure any older registry settings on some systems are removed... sorry for confusing you..let's start again:
-remove any version of GK you have including the registry clean up
-install GK 0.29 alpha
-install the 0.30 update
-re-do any d2v projects you may have done before
-see it work (hopefully)

Nice work guys!
I've just upgraded from 0.28 and everything looks sweet so far, it's nice to see development continuing. :)
I noticed in the Save avs preview window there is now a No comments checkbox, which is cool because I normally edit the avs after saving it and clean it up by removing all the commented stuff anyway.
I was wondering if it is possible to make that option "sticky" so that whatever it is set at is remembered next time you open the Save avs window? (like, for example from 0.28, GK remembers if the preview window is set to view resized or not and you don't have to set that each time anymore)
Thanks for your work :D
