Any chance of adding a queue, ala Handbrake?

My issue is that I normally rip TV seasons. So I will have 4-6 episodes on a disc. I can only extract streams from one episode at a time, so every 10-15 minutes I need to return to the PC. It would be great if I could "Add To Queue" each mpls with my desired settings. Then click a button to process my queue and have it process all 4-6 episodes as configured.

Hi!

First of all great tool! :)

Have a few suggestions that I wonder if you could add for next version.
1. When u extract say a sound track it comes of as ex: 1_8_audio.ac3 (thats a Swedish track), cant u add so it will auto write when extracted so it look something like ex: "1_8_Swedish_AC3_5.1ch_audio.ac3" insted ?
2. Same goes for all the other extract:able chooices like subtitle now gets ex: 1_17_subtitle.sup , but better to get it direct to ex: 1_17_Swedish_subtitle.sup , add IF forced say ex: 1_17_Swedish_Forced_subtitle.sup !

Can u please inmplement that in your tool, as itīs now we have to manually find and add all the diffrent languages and so on by hand !?

Thx in advance MaistroX!

Yeah, I think that's doable. I might even add the ability to configure your own naming standard using toakens (eg. {LANG}, etc)

@KYThrill: the branch of this tool within MeGUI supports queues. Have you looked into that?

I noticed that in Windows 7 64-bit
The extraction of the video stream can be made for the H264 codec, AVC, etc. .. but not in the MKV format.

Hi I have been using this tool for about 2 years now without any probs now. when I insert a Blu Ray AnyDVD HD reads the disc but HD stream extractor doesn't show the streams. Or sometimes the streams shoe and when you click extract it instantly shows extraction complete without any extraction.

Thanks for this amazing tool. I use it all the time.

I'm not aware of a free tool like this for DVD structures, especially with the feature to both demux and convert to WAVS at the same time. Does anyone know of one? If not, I would like to suggest adding DVD structure support to this tool. Thanks.

good tool, except I get some handling errors, and TV series dvds dont show episodes in order.
Is there a way to turn off (or change) the "alert" sound when processing is finished?

- Yeah, eac3to sort .mpls by duration. Is not a GUI problem.

- You can delete or replace the error.wav/success.wav in eac3to folder.

thanks! I didnt know how to run eac3to so I didnt think the error/success waves would be right there.

The specific error window I frequently get (with discs from a TVseries) is after selecting a video in the upper panel (Features section): something about an index range which should be non-negative numbers, and the current file it out of range, with option to Quit/Continue. I hit "Continue" a few times and the streams load in the lower panel.

I have posted (and now deleted) this question in the eac3to thread:

Guys,
I have here with me a Blu-ray with:

English: LPCM 5.1 (48kHz, 16-bit)

What is the command to convert a LPCM audio track (I used TSMuxer to demux the track, and it was saved into a WAV file) into FLAC? I was instructed to do that because the LPCM track (saved into a MKV file by MakeMKV) is not recognized by any player. I was told by converting the WAV to FLAC, it would stay the same, and it will be a lossless conversion.

Can you help me on this? I just need to know the command line.

(P.S. I tried using MKVExtractGUI2 to extract the LPCM track from the MKV file but I failed. I had to use TSMuxer to extract from the original m2ts file (from the Blu-ray)).Is your program doing what I asked? I selected FLAC to save the LPCM track. Will this be a lossless conversion?

Thanks!

P.S. WAV file has 1,39 GB and FLAC, 390 MB. Is this normal?

P.S.2: I need to restart after finishing one m2ts. If I select another, the program crashes. I hope you can fix that!

FLAC is lossless so you really shouldn't worry about using it. Compression ratio for 1.39GiB --> 391MiB is nothing unusual, given the source audio is "simple enough" i.e. easily compressible, with lots of silence for instance.

Can this tool 'extract' a movie from a 3D .iso without re-encoding? (so a 1:1 copy of the 3D movie)?

Hi Greif!

is there some new proggress and/or news? :)

To be honest, I haven't had much time to work on this. The GUI does what I built it to do, so there's not a lot of motivation to go in there... Not to say that I won't.

December is a slow month where I have more free-time to dedicate to things like this, so I imageine I can take a look at it.

I can start with addressing any bugs identified so far, as well as some vey small enhancements like using modifying the default filenames that are output.

I always wanted to change the ways Options are specified - making them more user-friendly by presenting stream-specfic options that the user can pick/select/modify values. I think that would probably be the biggest thing I can think of.

I also wanted to add the ability to export SUBS & SRT in addition to SUP subtitles. SRT would be great, but it is kind of a headache with all the OCR stuff that is required but SUBS not so much as it's basically just image and file format manipulation and I can leverage something like BDSup2Sub++ (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=165416).

So that's basically it. Bug fixes, small enhancments, option screen and SUB subtitles. That's currently on my radar.

:thanks:

Thanks Greif. One improvement that would be nice, and should (hopefully) be simple to code, would be the ability to open up a DVD folder. Currently your program can already correctly handle DVDs if one manually selects multiple VOB files. Of course, if it's too much work not a problem, will just keep selecting files. :)

I'll look into opening up DVD folders. I have never used the tool for DVDs so I'll have to give it a try :)

I'll have a small update out probably this weekend with a few tweaks.

It's worked fine for me on everything I've tried so far (including "Brave").

The bug mentioned above (a minor annoyance) is definitely there, however.

A bug I have found with the newer eac3to is that I'm unable to demux/transcode more than 1 DTS stream to AC3 with ArcSoft DTS decoder at once.

Anybody?

Hi!

And maybe you could address the bug that HBSE doesn't show the streams on all systems.

It's registered at the google code bug/issues list since june.

Obviously it's not a problem on all systems.

But my 32bit XPpro with up2date NET frameworks, HBSE and EAC3TO won't show any streams in the lower window.

Cheers! raimerik

doesn't make sense...

Well, if you do some audio adjustments (speedup, downmix, normalize) you get limited by the single threaded processing for one audio file.

You can easily apply different options to different streams using one command line...I don't get your point.

Trying this with eac3to 3.27 (latest).

HdBrStreamExtractor 0.8 does not have an option to extract audio as DTSMA, only as DTS or DTSHD.

What difference will it make if I extract the DTSMA stream as DTS, will I lose anything?

Or can someone suggest an eac3to GUI which allows one to extract only selected streams, and can extract DTSMA and SUP?

Or better still, can one run eac3to and get it to demux only selected streams, rather than the default 1st video stream and ALL audio and subtitle streams?

TIA

tebasuna51

Does not matter if you select DTS or DTSHD, the output is always DTS-MasterAudio (or DTS-HighResolution if that is the source, both with extra info over the standard DTS).
The extension don't make any difference.
If you want the standard DTS you need add the parameter -core at '+ Options' column.

BTW, you can try my GUI UsEac3to (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=145574), work the same than HdBrStreamExtractor for your requests, but allow audio only inputs and add some Auxiliary Tools.

I found that I could use:

eac3to bdmv\stream 1)

to list streams by number

then

eac3to bdmv\stream 3: English.dtsma 11: English.sup

to just extract the desired English streams

If this thread is still alive, can you add a warning popup when extracting PCM to WAV that is over 4G, and advice the user to use W64 instead of WAV? Today I spent 5 minutes extracting a 2 hour pcm to wav, just to find out that only the first 14 minutes could be play. And I had to dig through the documentation to find out why.

It also happens nothing when loading playlists. The characteristics of the streams seem to be known to it, though :)
http://i59.tinypic.com/2j670nm.png
Additionally the duration seems to be doubled (51min for a 25min feature).
If I load however the M2TS file directly, it is able to link it with the MPLS file, to display correctly the duration and to list the streams. After of course several dozen messages like
http://i60.tinypic.com/2wd9hz8.png

The window still cannot be resized, although a resize corner exists :) .

And the last issue, is that the existing subtitles are around 1/4th of what tsMuxeRGUI does (eg some 4k instead of 14k). Both variants load perfectly in BDsup2sub, but it seems that the smaller subtitles are also small in size. It may be a tsMuxeR issue, though.

PS: a detailed guide would be welcomed. :)

Just discovered this thread, this GUI is great!
This thread doesn't seem very active anymore but I might as give it a shot in case anyone sees this

I wanted to ask a question about extracting "TrueHD/AC3" files..
When extracting a TrueHD/AC3 file, and you're extracting it as a FLAC file, does the program convert the lossless 'TrueHD' part to FLAC, or the AC3 part?

Like this:
