So FEATURE1.EVO+FEATURE2.EVO is not default, can be xxx1.exe+xxx2.evo

It crashed after 100% analysis for Transformers and that is FEATURE1 and FEATURE2.evo. It worked for Fearless which is L0_MainMovie.evo and L1_MainMovie.evo.

I'm curious... how are you backing-up/accessing your discs?
Are you using AnyDVD or another program?

I am using AnyDVD to rip the whole disc. It doesn't matter whether I am selecting the folder of the movie or the HVDVD_TS folder. It crashes when it gets to 100%.

Do any of you have Visual Studio and can help debug the problem?

I am afraid I don't have that but it just worked for the Kingdom HD-DVD.
I did notice one thing. I was extracting the extras to watch separately as joined evo's. One extra was a single evo and it didn't appear as a evo in the stream selection.
It would be good to have a rebuild/remux feature like in evodemux. While that program is good. It is not possible to find out what the tick boxes are in terms of what languages and subtitles they are very easily. It would be good to be able to select what I want then click on rebuild to create a new evo or m2ts file.

I found two problems using this GUI
-when I extract an AC3 stream to WAVS using libvab (not nero) the log say it can't find the withe.noise file.
-I can't extract AC3 to DTS anymore.
the source is a Bluray directory
hope this helps

1) sounds like a bug with eac3to, do you get the same result when trying the same in a command window? If so, submit a bug on the eac3to thread
2) ahhhh.. due to the filtering of the audio extract types. I will remove this "feature" in the next version

I'm thinking of providing the ability to select single evo/m2ts files in addition to folders. It would bypass the feature grid and just show you the streams contained in your selection.
The goal of this tool is to strictly extract streams, nothing more.

Looks like it would be a nice GUI, but I can't get it to work. As someone else has said, it crashes on selecting an HDDVD feature as soon as "analysing" gets to 100%.
Tried with a BluRay and got an unhandled exception error.
OS = Vista Ultimate. AnyDVD.

Ok I am seriously getting  Maybe it's my own discs but I have yet to have it crash on me.
I will release a version with verbose logging. Give it a try with that version on a couple of different discs that you've had issues with. It will be out later today...
That way, I can figure out what the problem is and fix it.

it appears only in your gui, there is nothing in the log;
I guess it is because there is no [a**] tag in front of the line.
I can report as well alot of crashes
With die hard bluray movie, it loads the content but if I try to demux it crashes.
I'll try the verbose version.

I've the same problem.
@Greif
Great tool! Thanks!
One thing, for all my DTS-MA streams the file extension is ".dtshd". But since Stream Extractor uses ".dts" as file extension for DTS-MA streams, I've to rename all the audio streams manually. That's a lot of work and I'm quite lazy :), so it would be nice to have an additional file extension for DTS-MA streams and not only ".dts".

For those having problems with loading features, here (http://stuff.griffore.com/stuff/HdBrStreamExtractor_Debug.zip) is a debug version. This version has some extra logging and will create a log file named HdBrStreamExtractor.txt in the same directory.
If you are having issues, please run this version and upload the log file to http://pastebin.com/ so I can review. Thanks.
@azad: I need to clean up some of the audio extract types. It should be done soon.

Sorry I haven't posted updates but I have been busy. THanks for the new version and will test it as soon as I can.
One thing I did notice. a couple of times I had had to cancel extracting due to picking the wrong options. When I do that, it exits the program. I then have to load the disc back in. Would it be possible for it not to exit?
Greif
2nd November 2008, 13:41
Since the idea of this window is to be a MeGUI tool. The extraction process will be done via a job in the MeGUI queue. Thus, having all the benefits of the queue, such as: setting priority, aborting, etc.
For the executable version, I'll think about adding a button for canceling the extract.

JFYI: The latest eac3to version reports DTS-HD and TrueHD\AC3 tracks differently compared to older versions.
Old version:
M2TS, 1 video track, 3 audio tracks, 1:59:20
1: h264/AVC, 1080p24 /1.001 (16:9)
2: TrueHD/AC3, English, 5.1 channels, 48khz
3: DTS Hi-Res, English, 7.1 channels, 24 bits, 2864kbit/s, 48khz
4: AC3, Czech, 5.1 channels, 640kbit/s, 48khz, dialnorm: -28dB
New version:
M2TS, 1 video track, 3 audio tracks, 1:59:20
1: h264/AVC, 1080p24 /1.001 (16:9)
2: TrueHD/AC3, English, 5.1 channels, 48khz
(embedded: AC3, 5.1 channels, 640kbps, 48khz)
3: DTS Hi-Res, English, 7.1 channels, 24 bits, 2864kbps, 48khz
(core: DTS, 5.1 channels, 24 bits, 1536kbps, 48khz)
4: AC3, Czech, 5.1 channels, 640kbit/s, 48khz, dialnorm: -28dB
Don't know if you have to adjust your GUI to that?
Greif

I'll need to make changes to parse in the embedded/core details of the stream. However, the program should still work in the meantime.

I believe you can do that using the -core option. That is more of a eac3to usability question. You might want to confirm on the eac3to thread. (or check the wiki)

I want to extract the DTS core from DTS HD tracks or the Ac3 for from TrueHD. All I can do with your program is select the audio type. The options box does nothing for me at all. It is just a empty box.
If I select DTS for a DTS HD MA track, I get the full DTS HD audio. I thought if I select DTS rather than DTSHD then I would get the core track but I didn't.

To extract the core DTS from a DTS-HD stream you need to use the -core option.
To get the AC3 from TruHD/AC3 (embedded AC3) or TrueHD (without embedded AC3) steams just extract as AC3. With the TrueHD/AC3 stream it will just extract the core AC3, with the TrueHD stream it will transcode to AC3.
At least this is how I believe it works...
This is a quote from a post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1197470#post1197470) madshi made on the eac3to thread:
HD DVD style TrueHD tracks consist of only TrueHD frames. These are identified by eac3to as being "TrueHD". The correct extension for such tracks is "*.thd". Blu-Ray style TrueHD tracks consist of TrueHD audio frames and AC3 audio frames. Both types of frames are interweaved. eac3to identifies these tracks as "TrueHD/AC3". The correct file extension is "*.thd+ac3". The file extension "*.ac3" is self explaining.
So, if you demux a HD DVD style TrueHD track to "*.thd", the track is demuxed as it is. If you demux it to "*.thd+ac3", eac3to creates AC3 frames on the fly and interweaves them with the HD DVD data to create a Blu-Ray compatible "TrueHD/AC3" track. If you demux a HD DVD style TrueHD track to "*.ac3", the TrueHD track is transcoded to AC3.
If you demux a Blu-Ray style TrueHD track to "*.thd", the track is demuxed with the interweaved AC3 frames stripped away. If you demux it to "*.thd+ac3", the track is demuxed unmodified. If you demux a Blu-Ray style TrueHD track to "*.ac3", the AC3 frames are demuxed as they are with the TrueHD frames stripped away.
It can be even more complicated: If you demux a Blu-Ray TrueHD/AC3 track by using e.g. "eac3to source 2: audio.thd+ac3 -192", eac3to strips the original interweaved AC3 frames away, creates new AC3 frames with 192kbit/s on the fly and interweaves them with the original TrueHD frames coming from the Blu-Ray track.
I hope you're finally confused now...

I haven't had any problems with this program for a while now. I made use of it when I realised I didn't have enough disc space. I used it to select just the Video track and the DTS-HD MA audio from a Blu ray while using AnyDVD. I saved having to copy over 15GB of data I didn't want. It took a little longer than I was expecting but it did it ok.

I have extracted a truehd+ac3 from Blade Runner HD DVD. The file name has audio delay -1ms. I want to create a Blu Ray in tsmuxer. When I load the audio track in, there is a box for audio delay. Do I put -1ms in it, or is the audio already synced with the video and keep it at 0?
