Still about the same.
Seems to depend on the disk - some BD folders work fine, for others the error pops up.
When clicking on an mpls the error may be like
<System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException>

Greif

Ok. Could you create a new issue and attach the log file?

Thanks.

Here the log.
Actually when I click the error message away [continue], I can retry by clicking Feature(s) again, and everything works as expected.

Open a command prompt and run the following:

[Path to eac3to] "C:\Users\kok\Movies\BD BODY OF LIES" 1) -progressnumbers

Could you copy what is shown in the command window and show it here?

Thanks.

Sharc

Translated into English, the response is:
The command ""C:\Users\kok\Movies\BD BODY OF LIES"" is either misspelled or could not be found.

Greif
17th March 2009, 21:40
Ok, here's how to do it:

1 - open up a command window by clicking Start and selecting Run. type cmd and press ENTER. A command window should now appear.

2 - go to your rip directory: cd "C:\Users\kok\Movies\BD BODY OF LIES" You should now be in that directory.

3 - retrieve the feature listing from that directory: C:\path\to\eac3to.exe .

4 - retrieve the stream listing from the first feature: C:\path\to\eac3to.exe . 1)

Copy the entire results and paste them here.

You must replace C:\path\to\eac3to.exe with the full path to wherever you have eac3to located.

Hope this helps.

seems to still want the m2ts to be in a blu-ray disc structure, the above attempted to extract the DTS track from the m2ts file and convert it to AC3

But audio file recode still don't work, only open the file but we can output nothing.

Greif
18th March 2009, 13:23
@tebasuna51: Right now, the tool is focused mostly on video containers (EVO, VOB, M2TS, MKV, etc). But I'll see about adding audio files as well.

wrt the last bug: doh! ;) I've uploaded a new version with the fix.

no objections from me, but just a couple of suggestions for options (if you are looking for suggestions):

1) Link eac3to to tsMuxeR thru your GUI, that is, take for example a bluray rip with a True-HD soundtrack which I would want to convert to DTS, it would be great if you could demux the THD and convert to DTS (eac3to) and then remux back all thru your interface, and cleanup intermediate files as necessary

2) Same as above but linking eac3to to mkvmergeGUI, demux / convert / remux to mkv

Greif
25th March 2009, 17:59
@hxall: I don't see that happening with this tool. It's an extraction (and at most transcoding) tool.

Perhaps it could be chained through MeGui. That's where I would concentrate that effort.

Why does it want to extract MPEG2 streams into MKV only? Can M2V or MPG be an option here?

Small bug. If you keep the tool open and run several operations in a row, eventually the drop down boxes start to list the options multiple times.

I love your interface to eac3to! It makes playing Blu-ray on PCs only a few mouse clicks. Without the MKV format (or a special soundcard) we don't get the good sound.

Thanks for your work on this project. There isn't a more elegant simple way to break up and save the streams on BD that I can find at least.

Is there a way in the options for the SUP streams to output the language as the name of the file, i.e. ENGLISH.sup, FRENCH.sup, etc.? Thanks!

Greif
11th April 2009, 15:36
Yes, I can add the language to the filename. I'll put it on the list.

Your Gui still cant use demuxed Audio Tracks ? i can load them correct and the eac3to Infos will appear, but your gui doesnt offer any conversion/option in the Features Window ?

will the Gui support Audio Files ? I mean this is imho a essential basic Feature of eacto to process single Audio Tracks :) ?

Greif

The focus of this GUI is for extracting streams from HD-DVD and Blue-Ray discs. I can look into adding audio file support but I can't promise anything.

Just a question regarding the extraction of the chapter index for muxing into an MKV. It seems MKVmerge accepts only OGM or XML formatted chapter indexes. Would it be possible to have the chapter in one of these formats, or is this entirely reliant on eac3to's inability to do this?

I'm pretty sure that MKVmerge can take the text file created from your tool into the chapter editor and be saved, but it would save a step I think. Thanks...

If that doesn't work, then you need to register the Arcsoft HD audio decoder.

The easiest way is to install Radlight Filter Manager, hit Register, and fish through the Arcsoft folder in Program Files and find the decoder (.ax file).

The demo version works with eac3to and therefore stream extractor.

I run the stand alone version of your GUI and it works pretty darn well for extraction from mkv files. Is there any way to update the version of your GUI called by MeGUI so that it also can work with mkv files?

Greif
19th April 2009, 15:25
The MeGUI version should accept MKVs as well. When browsing for the file, the MKV file-type is not a selectable type but you can type *.mkv in the file name box and the MKV files should appear. I just tested it and it seems to work.

I seem to be having a problem with HDBrStreamExtractor (both SVN and old version), when trying to extract the main video to mkv, it extracts all the way to 100% but then has the error noise and there is no completed extracted file. It only works if I choose to extract it as h264 or VC-1 instead of mkv.

I've only had this problem recently, anyone else getting this? Maybe it's because of a recent AnyDVD update? That's the only thing I can think of.
