I changed to Delphi 2005 so I've to fix AutoQ2 1.0.7.0 B2 to get work in Delphi 2005.

Now it is up to you guys to test the new build of AutoQ2. I hope the transfer to Delphi 2005 was good and don't produce errors on your machines.

COF 0.1 is a little tool which sends 'Click the OK'-Button every 15s.
Drob has discovered some CCE bugs using AVI-files with AutoQ2.
I didn't test this tool my self and can't tell you if it works. Let's see what drob will say.

as for the other error, here is the sequence of events, BTW i am running an English system the German error must come from your wrapper:

Avisynth parses all the stuff in the plugins folder when it initializes. Some plugins are known to cause problems, no one knows exactly why but some think that it has something to do with the used compiler. For example, FredThompson has had problems with kassandro's plugins in the plugins folder. I see that error very rarely but it sometimes pops up when exiting VDubMod.

If it happens to you all the time, try emptying the plugins folder and using LoadPlugin to load the plugins you need from some other folder.

In my case i found it has to do with audio, when i have an improper encoded MP3 stream, or an AC3 stream, even if i add the audio false line, i get the above error. this happens ONLY in a combination of XVID and the mentioned audio streams, while being parsed via avisynth, using the AVI directly, or a DIVX or MPEG source doesn't produce this error, if you search the avisynth section, you'll find some other mention this combination.

The newest Release has a fix for it. Drob pushed me for it. If you have an AVISource it gets activated. There is no need for MPEG2 atm so I'll disable the checkbox in the MPEG2Source mode in the next release.

A tip for tuning AutoQ2: Kick the ms shell and use SharpE. I speed up my PC form CCE 1.9 Speed to 2.5 with changing to SharpE. More info you can find here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=102771).

This little tool is generic or only when CCE gives the error?
If it is generic i could refer to that post in another threads with similar problems with another programs.

@Prodater64: COF has now the version 0.3. It is a seperate EXE. You can use it also for other apps.
It closes only windows with the errormessage you quoted.

@all: 1.8.8.0 Final gets released tonight. I and drob did some changes to the GUI to get a better workflow. Also some fixes will be done.

Ginoboy from BDVD Team and a user here has reported to me that AutoQ2 works like a charm with the great SAPSTAR's AutoQMatEnc MPEG-2 Free encoder. He has done several tests in using AQE (AutoQMatEnc), always getting good results.

The new prediction mode gave me a oversized final encode. I have to dig deeper to fix it. K, it happend with a final-Q of 2 ;)

I'll add a check routine to verify the changed final-Q before encoding the whole movie.
ATM it highers the Q-value by +1 and encodes the final sample without checking if this is oversized.

If you got oversized results use the old prediction mode.

Not even once did i come with any oversized encode with the new prediction mode. After all this is just a prediction, and if the video was noisy, or complex for encode, or had few parts extremely deferent half movie talking heads, and half action scenes, this could account for this one time issue.

I enhanced the new prediction mode.

I used a project of mine where the final q value will be 24|98,72% so AutoQ2 never reaches 100%

I started with q value 24 and 25. See the log how it will work ;)

I started again thinking about my PING++PONG-prediction. To tryout the classic 'PING -> PING -> PING -> BULLSEYE -> PONG - for check'-predicition I added a checkbox to activate it.

I didn't test this methode in the newest version. AutoQ2 writes the frames of each AVS-file into the log. Check if Ping.avs and Pong.avs have the same frames.

i think theres a bug in where when the fist prediction run is started and then finished the program just sits there doing nothing until I open ccefix.exe manually. i dont know if this happens to anyone else but just thought i would report it.

First of all I think there is no bug in the newest version. U use a CCE 2.70 version with the close-bug. Seems you didn't setup up AQ2 well.

Check if you have setup CCE well. CCEFix is only activ when it is checked. You can proof it by open the CCE.set-file. The 4th line must be ON.

I need the CCE version, OS, AVSScript created by AQ2 (you can find it the tmp-folder. Don't close AQ2 or it deletes the files), the way AQ2 reacts:

*MPEG2Source: CCE is something between 2.70.0.0 and 2.70.2.1, CCEFIX.exe starts during the opening of CCE.
*AVISource: CCE is something between 2.70.0.0 and 2.70.2.1, CCEFIX.exe and CCEOKFIX.exe starts during the opening of CCE.

well. im using CCE SP 2.70.02.04 Trial Version. Windows XP Pro with SP2. For prediction Mode i have old, series iq, and classic "unchecked" (so i guess this is new prediction mode, or do i have to check one?). This is how it is: i run a batch and the first prediction runs perfect. cce opens perfectly and everything. but when it is time to do another prediction run, it shows what Q value it is going to test but cce never opens and AutoQ2 just sits there. The only way i can make it run is by sometimes opening "ccefix.exe" manually or sometimes by restoring COF which is in the taskbar minimized. thanks for all of your help.

CCEFix is for the OK-Bug in some CCE 2.70 builds. Your build is bugless so there is no need for starting ccefix.exe.

COF is for the Error-Bug in CCE. Sometimes you have an error window when encoding XviD-Sources.
You didn't tell me yet what source you want to encode.
You can also test COF 0.3 (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=EVPNB8QN) which doesn't minimize. Remember it is only for AVISources.

For the predictionmode: Your using the new mode (old mode unchecked).
Check if you have checked 'Test this Qvalue'.

Post me your log-file or avs-script as I told you. You can also pm me if you don't want to post it public.

The new builds are compiled with Delphi 10 in WinXP SP2.

about ffdshow, avisource and HC:

I find anything that ff_vfw.dll decodes crashes HC on opening. with directshowsource it doesn't. strange.

I've tried 3 ffdshow builds, and several different codecs within ffdshow and all die. but with directshowsource it's fine... peculiar.

Same it is with CCE and AutoQ2. If you're using DirectShowSource instead of AVISource it worked (most times a little slower).

Also you can demux the audiostream using Virtualdubmod and save the AVI without the audiostream in directstreamcopy mode.

BTW. Mainconcept MPEG Encoder crashes during the opening of "bad" AVISource-AVSs.

I added COF to AutoQ2 to click on OK when an error window opens in CCE.
