Hi Zeul, sorry I didn't respond sooner... I've been real busy.
Here are some more details on the "sharing violation" error:
- DVD is Fawlty Towers Disc 1 (from the Box Set)
- Ripped DVD as normal (iso mode) with DVD Decrypter.
- Mounted image
- Began processing with NuMenu 1.1.6
This is the exact error in DoCCE4U:
A sharing violation occurred while accessing C:\DVD-R_Processing\FAULTY_TOWERS_DISC_1\DEMUXED_VTS_01_0\FRAMESERVING\docce4u.txt
If there's anything you would like to know, please ask. I'll leave the files on my hard drive for a few days.

@ Xitrum
Read you own post - you have answered the question for me

The only thing different I can see, is that with your program I would end up with a better quality for the menus because the menu are re-encoded with CCE.

@Zeul
Thanks for replying. Personally, I am not so worry about the quality of the menus and extras, but I do for the main movie. But I'm aware that there are others out there who will not be happy for anything less.
Keep up the good works.

This is my first post here though I have been lurking for a while, trying to sort my problem out. After registering I was not allowed to post for 5 days so I emailed Zuel with the information I have learnt. Alas I don't know if he got the mail.
Many of you have been having problems and quite a few have had the same problem as I......Numenu4u stops at IFOedit with no real explanation.
I tore my hair out for several days trying to get Numenu4u to work, following, precisely, the instructions of a colleague........I think my colleague was growing tiresome of my failures but don't tell him I said that.......Whoops I do believe he visits this forum :).
After several days of trying on the first computer, which was running win2kSP4, I tried on a second computer, which ran on WIN2kSP3, and ended up with the same problems. I then started up a third computer, which is a test computer that was running win2kSP4 and had nothing else installed, installed the necessary programs and I still had the same problem.
I then formatted the test computer and installed winXPsp1, installed the necessary programs and waited for the failure.........To my surprise the failure never came and Menu4U completed.
The settings were the same throughout.....I had even mailed my colleague to send pretty little pictures of the settings, thinking I was doing something stupid. Even I can follow pretty little pictures :).
Since mailing Zuel I have changed the first computer from win2kSP4 to winXPSP1 and Menu4U works fine.
Obviously my conclusions from this are; Numenu4U will not work on win2kSP3/4 but may work on earlier versions of win2k.....It may be just one windows update that causes the problems.
BTW the motherboards concerned are an IWILL MPX2, an Abit BE6 and an Abit ST6 so it won't be a motherboard/chipset issue
BTW2 if anyone is managing to run Numenu4U on a win2ksp3/4 box please post details, including any updates to the OS you have installed...If it is just a single windows update that is causing the problem perhaps we can find out which one. I am quite willing to install any OS on the test machine to find the problem.

This has been my experience also. Works on my XP machine, not on my Win2k machine.
When you get it to work, it does a great job. I just compressed the menu's from Sopranos Season 3 Disk 1 to the same size as Shrink did for still frames.
I still have a problem with the Q factor when using One Pass VBR. It always forces the Q to 40 in DoCCE4U. I can't figure out if this is a DoCCE4U thing or caused by Numenu. I have worked around it by stopping DoCCE4U, changing the value in the registry, and reloading the job list. Unfortunately, it resets back to 40 after every job.

I also have the sharing violation error it happens when DoCCE4U tries to load the docee4u.txt file that NuMenu4U creates. When I navigated to the folder and open the file in Notepad it was empty. The file size is zero. It seems that NuMenu4U creates the file however it never seems to write to it.

Also forgot to mention using V 1.1.60 on a win XP pro machine with SP1. It demuxes just fine. The menu is seperated into all 7 cells. It just doesnt write the docce4u.txt file.
