is ffmpeg reliable on muxing?
Try a recent ffmpeg (download (http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/autobuilds/)), I did not get problems on my side. Please tell me if it works :)

hum... so far I only tested x264 + aac in mkv and mp4, works fine, and vp8 + ogg in webm/mkv and it works fine too.

Sirber,
Please, could you show me the command line settings that RealAnime uses for enhAacPlusEnc, mencoder and mplayer when using the "HIGH" quality setting?

Thanks Sirber for small update of Bencos....waiting for ur full new version of Bencos.
Is it true that Realanime gives better results thank Bencos?
From my tests i see RA gives good result than Bencos ...i don't know why but it gives.

RealAnime 6 was a fork of BENCOS because I had issues running BENCOS in Vista with UAC enabled, and it is now ~4 years old. It used the same encoding settings as BENCOS.

beside "resize", which other filters do you people use?
saving that space I might do a "all in one page" instead of 3 tabs.

well... looks like I'm in for a lot of code change :)

Hi Sirber
In bencos high setting r..reframes and bframes are both 5 is it good? i think increasing reframes gives better result like 8.
what about psy_rd and aq value for anime?
when i encoding some anime with realanime 6 i see the edges are smooth and looks good..but with bencos it not looks good even with higher setting.(without resizing)
Is the new Bencos can encode dual audio file?

I'll doublecheck RA6's settings. Currently the "new" bencos uses the presets files found with ffmpeg. I'll have to look about "psy_rd" and "aq". It's been a while since I played with x264 :)
Is the new Bencos can encode dual audio file?
Currently no. I added a track selector using the input language. I guess I could recode them all too..
adding on todo (http://code.google.com/p/bencos/wiki/todo)

Hi Sirber
In new bencos if possible can u add an option by which one can encode only video without audio...means one can disable audio while encoding.
One request Sirber please add some required filters which are good for anime encoding.

Just to clarify are you going to use ffmpeg or ffms2 with bencos?

Hi Sirber

bencos is ment to be a "finalware", not a "middleware". There are other tools for that matter.
One request Sirber please add some required filters which are good for anime encoding.
beside "resize" I'm not sure what would be useful. Since it's not a DVD ripping application, the source should be already filtered.
Just to clarify are you going to use ffmpeg or ffms2 with bencos?
ffmpeg directly.

Changelog:
http://code.google.com/p/bencos/wiki/changelog#2010-11-07_dev
Notes:
* only tested with 1 file in queue
* old bencos "High" mode is now ~ "x264/slow"
* it expects a source with video and audio stream.
* stop button doesn't work yet
* ipod profil might work if you select AAC-LC

AAC LC doesn't go bellow 64kbps, and at 64kbps it sounds really crappy. Best use AAC HE+PS or Vorbis.

"slower" takes ~2h30 to encode a ~24m clip on my Phenom II X3, while with old bencos at "High" it would take ~35 minutes.

dev version working!:)
New Bencos is slower than both RA and old bencos..i think it is due to use of b_adapt=2 .In RA and old bencos it is 1.
Can u add the RA high setting profile?
In video section are u going add source types like anime, movies etc.

RA6's code:
// Source Type
case cboVSourceType.ItemIndex of
0: sOptSourceType := 'deblock=0,0:bframes=2:frameref=2:'; // Generic
1: sOptSourceType := 'deblock=1,1:bframes=5:frameref=5:'; // Anime and Toons
2: sOptSourceType := 'deblock=-2,-1:bframes=3:frameref=4:'; // Movies
3: sOptSourceType := 'deblock=-3,-1:bframes=3:frameref=3:'; // Sports
4: sOptSourceType := 'deblock=-1,0:bframes=5:frameref=3:'; // DV Captures
end;
sOptTmp := '-of rawvideo -ovc x264 -oac pcm -o ' + sVideoOut + ' -x264encopts ' + sOptSourceType + 'threads=auto:b_pyramid:nofast_pskip:nopsnr:bitrate=' + txtVBitrate.Text;
// First pass (fast!)
sV1 := sV + sOptTmp + ':pass=1:turbo=2';
// Profiles (slow!)
case cboVQuality.ItemIndex of
0: sV2 := sV + sOptTmp + ':pass=2:8x8dct:weight_b:mixed_refs:me=umh:bime:partitions=all:subq=6:brdo:trellis=1 ';
1: sV2 := sV + sOptTmp + ':pass=2:8x8dct:weight_b:mixed_refs:me=umh:bime:partitions=all:subq=7:brdo:trellis=2 ';
end;
sV2 := sV2 + ' -nosound '; // remove sound from seocnd pass
sTempFiles.Add(sVideoOut);
some of the options are deprecated (at least bime IIRC). bencos (old and new) use better settings.
In video section are u going add source types like anime, movies etc.
not sure, currently I only use the presets that comes with ffmpeg. I could add a "custom" preset if a user-made file "libx264-custom.ffpreset" is found.

I want to know is it ok with psy_rd=1.00:0.00 and aq=1:1.00.

I'm testing the encoding queue. might have a release tomorrow if it works.
changes since the last dev release:
* added subtitle support (soft, to Matroska only)
* added new icon/logo
* added presets: "faster", "fast" and "medium"
* updated container/codec selection:
** x264/PC locks to MKV :
** x264/iPod to MP4 and AAC-LC
** WebM to WebM and Vorbis
** fixed: start / stop button
* fixed: merge fails if output file exists

Today i download your new dev version but Avira antivirus detect it as TR/Dropper.Gen
I visit and search some AVS forum and i found that for anime encoding psy_rd= 0.6 and aq= aq=1:0.60 are suitable values.

avira is well known to detect TONS of false positives.
however, false positives apart, is one of the "best" antiviruses (even the free version).

like I said earlier, I'll add the possibility to have your own custom ffpreset file, so you'll be able to encode the way you like.
