I takes always the maximum Q-Value as final Q-Value if the last is the same Q-Value.

Example:

You have 2 [1|3] then the next will be 2 [1|2] >> Same Q-Value then take Max as final >> 2.

If You have 2 [1|2] then next will be 1 [1|1] >> Same Q-Value then take Max as final >> 1.

Hi Amnon!
I'm trying to use for the first time your program. I want to encode an AVI file captured from an old VHS tape, so it's a 29.976 NTSC interlaced file. I'll use CCE 2.70 trial.
But when I select the 29.976 option and press the "Calculate Sample" button, it gives an error msg: "29.976 is not a valid floating point value".
How can I fix that, if I can use your program to encode such kind of file?

I think there is a bug in the new version of cce.

Little update:

I'll code a fix and add it to the next AutoQ Version.
It will start cce and clicks on the Encode-Button. Then AutoQ checks the CPU-Usage. If the Usage is under 5% a timer get enabled and clicks in CCE on the Exit-Button. After that the loop will start again till AutoQ finds the right Q-Value.

I've it already in my mind and coded it 3 times in other programs, but I must find the time to add it to AutoQ. So stay tuned. ;)

... maybe it will get EclCCE2.70 ...

I used only the basic settings in AutoQ and used QCCE for the beginning to create the ecl-files. CCE 2.70 didn't support the ecl created by QCCE so I reproduced it in CCE 2.70 and added this ecl to AutoQ. You have only to tell me the lines You want change in AutoQ.

There's a problem using AutoQ. Everytime i wanna make a prediction, CCE starts with the right configured ECL but the encoding doesn't start. I have to click on the "Encode"-button first. It's not that comfortable if you want to do something different in the time you want to get the right Q for a movie. Somehow i guess it could be a user problem and I am too dumb to solve it. ;)

Thanks for the tip but the check box was already checked... further i got problems with the encode. AutoQ should find a good Q for a 2 GB filesize but it is encoding a Q with the double filesize -.- ... predictions useless?? Didnt change the settings for the Q so i don't know why it happens

Tell me what kind of source You want encode, which version of CCE/Windows do You use, the way You got the problem (so I might be able to reproduce Your problem) and send me Your Logfile via PM.

The way AutoQ does the 'Encode after Prediction':

If the checkbox is checked a message will pop up after AutoQ finished the prediction. Now You can do 2 things:

Wait 30 seconds or push the 'Yes'-Button.

In both ways AutoQ clicks on the 'Encode'-Button.

Some of my betatesters told me that there are some problems using CCE 2.50 and CCE 2.70.02.00 with the newest AutoQ build. I can't reproduce the errors.

One of the betatesters mentioned that he can't click on the 'Encode'-button of AutoQ. I tried it with 3 different versions of CCE, no error here also from my side.

So if somebody finds a bug in AutoQ please write in the PM the versions of the programs You use. Version of AutoQ, EclStart and CCE. I can't recheck it, if I don't have this informations!

Here some tips:

EclStart 0.8:

The only thing I changed in EclStart is this.
You have now the option to change the timer interval and the lowest CPU usage.

Standard is 1000 and 5. This was always the standard settings in the last EclStart builds. In my tests all worked like it always did.
To test it if it works, don't run anything else with eclstart and cce in the same time.

For cce 2.50 use this script:

I think there wasn't a CCE 2.50 bug at all. Maybe you used a wrong AVS-Script.

On my machine CCE 2.70.02.00 worked in all EclStart versions (I didn't changed the default settings of EclStart).

Some people didn't understand how the CCE 2.70.02.00 works with AutoQ.

You must point to EclStart for this Version. Setup CCE 2.70.02.00 in EclStart. This is why I coded it. EclStart starts CCE 2.70.02.00 and clicks in CCE on 'Encode' and after it has done the job it clicks on 'Exit' and close. AutoQ get this information and go on. In the Prediction-Mode AutoQ starts EclStart again, till it finds the right Q.

So the 'Encode'-Bug in AutoQ is only if You uses CCE 2.70.02.00 directly with AutoQ. It can't use the batch-mode cos of the known bug. I hope this is clear now ;)

Here some Infos about the new Version:

Some User don't get it that they should use EclStart to get the support of CCE 2.70.02.00. In this Version I renamed EclStart into CCE 2.70.02.00. I hope this helps.

Also I added some Matrices. THX goes to damian_dimitri for converting them into the AutoQ-Format.

I tested this version for bugs and can't find one. It is based on the last 1.3 build. Only added the fixes.

I updated the portuguese translation. Also I changed some things to get this translation fit better to AutoQ.

Artoors last translation is now added as polnish.alng. I hope all polnish people can life with that ;)

Sometimes I got questions about some lines which still are english. That's why AutoQ only works with this lines probably. I can't change this.

I got such problem with grayed buttons.

I use latest software..
CCE 2.70.02.00
EclStart 0.8
1.4.1 AutoQ
and foreign language system W2k..if it does matter.

Built avs just like it has been recently posted here..
And I got only Run Fullencode button..
..but other buttons are still grayed out.

Have no idea what's wrong :confused:

@XeoneR: Did You enter a path to save the M2V-File?

It will stay grayed out till You enter a valid path+filename ...
You must do it in the M2V+VAF box in the left corner ...

For prediction click on calculate to get the prediction-button free.
