Zeul,
just thought you should know that i had problems under NM4U-RC2B7, and another of the multi-episode DVD's i talked to you about before. the problem occurs when CCE is encoding: it just locks up completely. when i uninstalled B7 and reinstalled B4 everything worked fine again.
this is the same problem that occurs when i try to do A New Hope(ANH): CCE locks up at some point in encoding all the files. if i choose to not run CCE on ANH, then everything seems to work perfect.

I'm using NuMenu4U RC2 build 7, Scenarist 3.0. Used no reencoding and import script only options. I wanted to reconstruct menus of LOTR FoR EE part 2. Here are the problems I encountered in reconstructing VIDEO_TS:

PGC7 (uses VOBID 7), PGC11 (uses VOBID 8) and PGC22 (uses VOBID 18) are flagged as dummy, but in fact all of them contains still menu. These VOBIDs I included into zip. (I decrypted them separately because for some reason those VOBIDs in DEMUXED directory do not contain video stream).
Other PGCs (3, 11, 19, etc.) with the same kind of still menus are recreated perfectly.

Demuxed M2Vs of these VOBIDs are renamed as dummy-xxx.m2v are located in DEMUXED folder but are not imported into scenarist and have no tracks in Track Editor, though corect PGCs (7, 11 and 22) are created in Scenario Editor they do not reference to anything. No PGC commands are recreated for these empty PGCs.

In VTS1 the same story happened to PGC 28 (VOBID 40) and PGC43 (VOBID 39).

While importing script I get such errors in Scenarist:
The aspect ratio of MPEG video file "F:\LOTR_SEE_D2EE\Menus\D_VIDEO_TS\NEW_M2V\006.m2v" has changed.
The aspect ratio of MPEG video file "F:\LOTR_SEE_D2EE\Menus\D_VTS_01_0\NEW_M2V\038.m2v" has changed.

Have no idea what could it mean. Despite these errors, script was imported into Scenarist.

Zeul, I've sent to you zip with the content of working folder. Thanks a lot this wonderful program, it saved me hours in reconstructing and creating menus.

abyss what version of dvddecrypter are you using? The vob files should contain only the first video frame of each vobid, to assist in acurrate sub timing. None of your vob files do, I wonder if you are running an older version.

Oops, indeed I didn't renew dvddecryptor for a long time. Up to now I used 3.2.2.0 version. Installed the latest DVDDecrypter (3.5.1.0), but I got the same final picture - the above mentioned PGCs were not recreated, got the same errors in Scenarist :(
VOBIDs, I've sent you, I decrypted manually to illustrate that they contain still menu material. VOBIDs in DEMUXED folder are very small in size (few KBs) so I guess they indeed contain the first video frame of each vobid. Should I send them to you as well?

i have found the problem and fixed it, but to test properly i need the vob file from the subtitles folder (based upon the newest dvddec) thanks

Can someone please help me. For some reason when I run numenu4u with doitfastu, batchce, sceneaid, I'm having a problem with numenu4u completly importing compiling and closing. It seems all it will do is import and that's it I can't get it to comple and close and go back to doitfast44u. Can someone please help me. Thanks

hi fdnyems and welcome to the forum.

please make sure, that in your 'scenarist options' tab you have selected 'Import, Compile, Close'.

if you have already selected this option, then there could be a problem with Automate_Scenarist, which zeul is currently working on.

Jel,
Thanks for the info. I do have under the scenarist options Inmport, compile, close checked. Until the automate scenarist is fixed do you think I should use it a different way?

well, it MAY be an issue with automate_scenarist or it may be due to import errors.

you could try pressing the compile button manually in scenarist and see if it compiles correctly, and finishes from there (unlikely)

or choose 'import only'
check for import errors
manually compile
check for compiling errors
if all okay, run the update_menu_ifo.bat (or something similar) upon compiling

cheers
