Every PGC must have a time map. You might get by with this on some players, but if the PGC is one-sequential (meaning the title has only one PGC, not a series of PGCs linked together) the player will need the time map for the time display. After reading this elsewhere I am thinking my suggestion for a 00'00'00'01 blank option is not a good idea.

I guess I will just have to manually change the Post Commands to Pre Commands and adjust the BREAKS in IfoEdit on some DVDs that need PGCs to be bypassed, until you offer that feature in DVDReMake.

I just saw that someone had already posted this. I know IFOEdit can do it, but it would be very sweet if I didn't have to process the DVD twice because IFOEdit can be take a while if you aren't going to another physical harddrive.

Dimad, I was looking at your dvdremake tool with awe but I wouldnt want to purchase untill I know it works (export and play). Are you planning on enabling perhaps a day or # of exports limit for the demo so people can actually try how it goes?

As a happy customer I can suggest there really is nothing to see if you had a FREE EXPORT demo version...

Frankly you see it all in the demo... The only thing you don't get is the output files... It is a progress bar... it takes a few minutes... and when it's done your edited movie is complete in it's destination folder... Since there is no compression there is no change in quality and therefore nothing really to test either...

If you like the interface... then you have seen it all... If you are like me and have spent the past year or so using IFOEdit and MenuEdit with great success... Having to rely on even more tools at times like VOBBlanker or Titlesetblanker or VOBEditor I can promise you DVDReMake will change your world...

Time to BUCK UP.. Ha Ha... :)

There are no such plans.

In addition to what geffroman said: without export feature the only thing one can't test is "does exported dvd plays"? Yes, that is a big one. :)

But there are quite a few people using DvdReMake without any problems. It is hard to estimate how many differend DVDs were processed with DvdReMake, but hundreds is for sure. So chances that you will have problem with exported disk are quite small (I admit sometimes bugs do slip through, but usualy they are fixed within few days of been reported).

Yes indeed I've been using all those tools and sometimes think to myself (after a hour of hunting for a good combination of vobid to remove from a menu) why the h*ll am I wasting my time being such a prefectionist ;)

I'll try the demo again on a new disc and then prolly buy it :)

Dimad: Ok I have an interesting disc here. Its Gangs of New York 2Disc version R2. The second disc has VOBID1 of VTS1 (main movie) 1234MB of unrefernced video (repeat of the first two chapters of the movie) without audio.

DVDRemake 1.4.5 Demo doesnt see this item and reports the disc to be 5996.23MB (DVDShrink says 6802MB incl the unreferenced bit). Does this mean DVDRemake will remove the unreferenced material automatically or fails to detect it and would copy the disc 1234MB oversize of what it reports?

edit: Further suggestions I'd have is to make the Delete key do the "hide block" so you dont have to right click and leftclick on each item.

Also I like the advanced mode, but instead of one big frame of each item on the right, perhaps collate a few frames of the selected item so you can see what the item contains without using the scrollbar to fast forward.. would be pretty handy since many items start with an all black fadein :)

DvdReMake will remove crap from the disk automaticaly. :)

Excellent. It's sometimes hard to hunt the unused item with ifoedit from ie. between menu cells like the Disc #1 of said movie had.

DVDReMake seems pretty much the perfect stripping tool with all the features DVDShrink and other tools SHOULD have.

Would it be possible for the program to remember last environmental variables... ie window positions and beginner or expert mode... I make these changes every time I start the program...

Any hope on the horizon for bypassing videos with post to precommand adjustments...? I just did The Haunted House from Disney... They have so much crap before the Menu and after hitting play that even though I hide blocks it took sooo long to get to the menu and movie that I had to make those adjustments in IFOEdit...

Title 2 - VTS 1, PGC 2, 12 Cells
Title 4 - VTS 3, PGC 1, 2 Cell
Title 5 - VTS 4, PGC 1, 2 Cell
Title 6 - VTS 5, PGC 1, 2 Cell
Title 7 - VTS 5, PGC 2, 2 Cells
Title 10 - VTS 7, PGC 1, 8 Cells

28 Cells times 15 Frames or .5 seconds = 14 seconds of delay plus player switching time... YIKES ! Put the movie in and go get popcorn... It's gonna be awhile... :)

This is a pretty common problem with Disney and Paramount...

Any hopes on this one...?
