View Full Version : Guide for Blu-Ray Re-Authoring using multiAVCHD
Replacing clpi is not arbitrary, you have to replace it.
i think queque is slided on tsmuxer and
when i removed secondary video from container for 16.m2ts its being fine
i will do for 4.m2ts file...now

Unfortunately tsmuxer has two problem.
1. Change Intime to 00.10.00.000
2. Remove Secondary Video
If your movie has SV, you should blank it in original playlist with bdedit

Attach the following file
1. Original "PLAYLIST" and "CLIPINF" folders(all files)
2. tsmuxer output(00004.clpi, 00008.clpi, 00004.mpls, 00008.mpls)

Maybe
Give me some screenshot. Or simply upload files.
I have 90 successful re-authoring and after all that I found that there is not EXACT way to re-authoring BDs. In some cases you need to use trial and error method!!
In all cases you need to replace original clpi with the one from tsmuxer output
But in some cases need to also replace mpls files and made some changes to it. Changes consist of adding popup menu(if original mpls have it) and in some cases adding subpath according to original mpls.

i did also many reauthors but this movie makes problems..like that.. if i use mpls from tsmuxer output, sounds and subs working but not splitting..to other alternative part of movie(16.m2ts file)
when i use original mpls and clpi working well with all sections but no audio
i trying to solve it with trial and error method...
if could be split files, could be done already.i did 100times also have split files too but few pcs...like Hall pass etc...
also released from same firm like red riding hood
all schema and designs are same
anyway...i will try to fix that ...if not...i will try to do later...if i will do succesful..i will inform you

In BDedit--PLAYLIST tab--select your desired mpls--Under STN section--click on number below sV--use minus on the right side until you reach to 0.
at the end click on "Apply to clpi"
In this way you will blank sV from playlist and clipinf.(m2ts file was blanked with tsmuxer automatically! tsmuxer will delete sV from m2ts file)

Or what's easier if you don't want to get double sized output from MultiAVCHD:
1) Make sure that branched playlists numbers are greater than all individual m2ts playlists. For example:
Theatrical playlist (00010.m2ts+00011.m2ts): 00001.mpls
Extended playlist (00010.m2ts+00012.m2ts): 00002.mpls
00010.mpls (00010.m2ts)
00011.mpls (00011.m2ts)
00012.mpls (00012.m2ts)
Then 00001.mpls should be renamed to say 10001.mpls and 00002.mpls should be renamed to 10002.mpls
2) Open it with MultiAVCHD and make all the changes you need in 00010.mpls, 00011.mpls and 00012.mpls and don't touch 10001.mpls and 10002.mpls
3) After MultiAVCHD has done its job (you won't get double sized output), rename 10001.mpls and 10002.mpls to their original names.
4) Open MultiAVCHD output with BDEdit and add/remove edited audio/subtitle streams in STN table for 00001.mpls and 00002.mpls
As I don't have much HDD free space I prefer this option.
Greetings
Does this process work?
A japanese version of a english movie I am doing has like 10 different playlists all pointing the the same main movie. Not sure why that would be as there are not alternate versions.
LOL, thankfully I got an error message saying my target drive did not have 768 GB for the output !!
Not sure I quite understand these instructions, do I rename every playlist that refers to the main title. And I assume I rename these playlists before I load into program

I dont speak english, but i will try.
I have a movie/file in 3D and i want to add a new audio in this file, i will play this file (3DBD.iso) in the oppo bdp-93 (this player can play the 3D files in .iso). So, how do i can make this with BDEDIT, MULTIAVCH OR TSMUXER ? There is some guide for this ? The oppo will arrive about 2 weeks and i want to do this before the player arrive.
I only want to add a new audio in this blu-ray 3d .iso, without have to reencode or lose the 3D.
Thanks very much for your help and i am sorry for my bad english.

As I've told you, there's no way yet to edit full 3D discs. First of all, you can't edit the ssif files and second of all, you can't make the iso back.

Thank you very much for your guide. It's very useful.
But I have a problem after reauthoring. One of added subtitles streams is running 1-2 sec forward. However, both added subtitles streams have the same timings (according to srt). Why? What's the problem? How can I correct it?
Thank you for advance.

You can use Subtitle Workshop, http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Subtitle-Workshop, to change the timings of .srt files.
Load the .srt file, then go to edit, timings, set delay. Change the +/- for your situation and you can make the necessary adjustments.

Desync appears after reauthoring... The same subtitles of other language plays correctly. I repeat: both srt-subtitles have the same timings. But after reauthoring the first subtitle stream is desync, and the second is correct. I don't understand why...

1) Please tell me why do I get an error "AVSinfo.exe stopped working" every time when I start multiAVCHD.
This error also is happening sometimes when I try to change something in the program (change the value of a parameter).
I installed the latest codecs from the links from your first post.
I am running windows 7 x64.
2) Do I need the codecs installed if I am not interested to blank trailers, FBI warning, etc, so I do not need the preview!?
I am just interested to add a subtitle to my Bluray.
I am asking you this (also) because ffdshow has tens of options and I have no idea which one to thick and which one to disable to get the preview working.
Thank you.

When I try to add a subtitle to the Bluray, after I push START button I get an error:
(RT) Invalid numeric format (X) - Line 23.
Then another one:
(RT) Access violation at address 020035F4 in module 'calclib.dll'. Read of address 00001C1D - Line 57.
Please tell me what could be this!?
Thank you

can I add sup files via "external subtitles" (and not replace subtitles)?
I added 2 sup files to the external subs list, but they do not show in the pgs list, so I am confused.
I do not want to remove or replace any subs, but it would be nice to edit where in the list my added sups are. At this point I don't even know if the sups are going to show.
please advise
btw, this is a java title if it matters at all.

Yes. The subtitles do not show because the disc isn't edited yet. The subtitles will show.

Hi,
I created a topic to know if there's a way to transform BD into AVCHD without multiAVCHD when one don't need to change anything in the original folder (if the original BD is not Java authored) ;
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=163883
The aim is to play BD copies on standalone players which play AVCHD but not BD-5.
Some of you maybe know the answer, thanks for your help ;)

However "AVSinfo.exe stopped working" was still present until I installed AVISynth.
CRL2007, please tell me if you could include in your guide the AVISynth to be installed.
It looks the installation of AVISynth is mandatory for the program multiAVCHD (latest version) to work correctly.
Thanks.

Hi!
The following are a few lines from the multiAVCHD tutorial, that can be found at:
multiavchd.deanbg.com/tutorial.php
[-] Thumbnail menu - If checked, multiAVCHD will produce thumbnails of your titles - 7 per menu page - max of 36 pages. Requires x264/avisynth/mplayer.
[x] XMB menu - If checked, multiAVCHD will produce XMB-like menu with maximum of 252 browsable titles. Requires x264/avisynth/mplayer.
[x] Slide menu - If checked, multiAVCHD will produce iTunes-like menu with maximum of 252 browsable titles. Requires x264/avisynth/mplayer.
[x] Carousel menu - If checked, multiAVCHD will produce menu with maximum of 252 browsable titles. Requires x264/avisynth/mplayer. (design by Atak_Snajpera @ doom9)
[ Preview ] - Click to see how your menu will look like (for this to work you need x264/AviSynth 2.58 and [x] Custom menu checked). A preview screen will open:

Look at the main titles list of subtitles in multiAVCHD, and if you see multiple ones for each language, try to remove the duplicates. This has worked for me. ;)

This could be a problem with your source Blu-ray. Was it ripped with AnyDVD HD? Can you load any Blu-rays with multiAVCHD and get it to work?

You cannot import a protected Blu-ray, thus you must rip it first. I do not know if you can use multiAVCHD on the fly with a Blu-ray in your drive and AnyDVD HD running, I have never tried this before.
Is there any ripped to your hard drive Blu-ray that will work with multiAVCHD in Re-author mode?
laz305

Ok so how do I rip? Cuz I try to use DVDFab 8 and it gives me the same error.

I do not use DVDFab, I use Anydvd, found here: http://www.slysoft.com/en/.
I have read DVDFab is not as reliable as Anydvd, and I have never had a problem with Anydvd.
You have some reading to do, and a little searching and you will find ripping procedures as well as making sure all helper applications for multiAVCHD are installed. ( Avisynth, ffdshow, haali )
Start here, scroll down, and download "multiTEST" to make sure multiAVCHD is installed properly.
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=143744
The same helper apps are used for BD-RB, so you could look here as well:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=143716
EDIT:
From your post here, you should be using BD-RB : :)
Wow can't wait to try this out tonight, any ETA doing a 1:1 copy when compressing from about 40GB to 25GB? I've been told to save the 50GB to HDD first then compress correct? Cuz I did it before and it took 30hrs. using DVDFab lol
EDIT: Well looks like I'm never gonna find out cuz tsMuxer stops working and is crashing multiAVCHD, do I need tsMuxer? Can I remove it?
laz305

Ok I've done mutiTest and I have everything installed. I must be missing a step, how do I use AnyDVD to rip a BD? my goal is to make 1:1 copies of my blurays. 25GB

Just run Anydvd, right click on the little red fox next to the clock on the task bar and select rip to file. I would leave the options at default for Anydvd, and not use "Speed Menu" if you want a full 1:1 backup.
And check out BD-RB!!

Ok so that is the step I was skipping, I would just drag&drop and then open with DVDFab or multiAVCHD. So maybe now I won't get any errors. Thx I'll post back tonight with results.
EDIT: ok I ripped it will try this after DVDFab finishes in about 20hrs. Compression from 28GB to 25GB is still taking over 20hrs. lol

with the latest multiavchd, When I added an additional audio track, it showed up in a new tab "other audio" and it did not get muxed with m2ts? whats that about??
A quick search of this thread showed this:
Both the MPLS file and the CLPI reference the type of audio in the M2TS file. In fact, its possible that more than one MPLS could do so.
So, could someone tell me the proper method to mux in a new audio? I have a BD with only LPCM - I encoded a DTS and am trying to add/mux to the same disk in re-author mode.

Excellent tutorial can you update with a "3D Bluray"
I tried to do the same on a 3d bluray by adding a new audio track , everythings goes fine (no error) but when I'm trying to play, I saw the menu and just after choosing to launch the movie it hangs and freeze on the menu
Anybody has an idea?
