There's no need to. "<none>" means that the force decoder switch will not be used, so the default decoder will be used. Default means just that, unless specified otherwise, this is what will be used.

ok. i know arcsoft is using by default.
but i can`t choose "default" as decoder.

ArcSoft only needs to be used with DTS-MA as of now and eac3to will default to ArcSoft on those tracks if you have it installed.

I'm trying to use Nero as the filter but I cannot get it to work properly. Is there any configurations I need to make? I have Nero 7 installed with the DVD multi channel plugin activated.

This is the error I get;

"I'd like to use the Nero Decoder, but it doesn't seem to work."

Thanks,

To use Nero 7 with eac3to, you need the HD-DVD/Blu-ray plugin.

I have this plugin also... I think??? I cannot play BDs or HDDVDs, but I can burn both types to disc using Nero... would that be the same plugin?

No it's a separate plug-in that has it's own reg number and is visible in Nero Scout, I think. St0ned.

Sorry to be a dunce but could someone explain a bit about why you would want to do all the things you guys are talking about. None of it makes sense to me. I was looking for a better GUI for my PCH, but I don't understand why anyone would want to join audio and video streams via a gui. To be honest I'm not even sure that's what everyone is talking about but it seems like a lot of time farting around for no apparent reason. Why don't you just make one file that works and watch that? Sorry, I'm a n00b

What? I use Eac3to_And_More_GUI for my PCH aswell and it's been a life saver for me. For the way I wanna watch my BluRay/HD-DVD's I have to remux/process streams..that's just a fact and I like doing these kinds of things...besides once I am done processing I have obtained my BluRay/HD-DVD's for like 1-2 bucks a piece :) If you don't like this GUI you probably wouldn't last 2 minutes trying to do this stuff the old ways using Scenarist/TsRemux. Be grateful. I know I am

hi yearn

when is the new version available?

I'm trying to conver a LPCM wav file to DTS @ 1536kb/s, but I keep getting a "conversion not supported" error.

1. I load the file
2. --> eac3to Audio tab, select file
3. select output format/bitrate
4. Force Decoder = default, Arcsoft/Sonic both work fine, Surcode installed and works fine.
5. Check "Apply these settings... and save with original.."
6. Specify log file
7. Lock Current settings to command line, after I press this everything resets.
8. Attempt to run command line, then get the error.

Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong?

Thanks, O!

this is the command line you want:

eac3to input.lpcm output.dts -1536

I never use 'Lock current settings' or anything but setting where my apps are located, input file, and save location. Try not using 'Lock current settings' and after every thing is set just press 'run current command line'.

hi yearn

when is the new version available?

I've been away from the board for a bit, back now. I'll have a release hopefully this weekend covering all changes to eac3to. I'm still working on the next version though. I expect to get about a week free next month and hope to finish it off then.

Unfortunately there is a bug in the preferences. When you lock settings it tends to load them again. You really only need to lock settings when you're going to be doing multiple audio or video conversions/muxes in the same command line. The next version (1.10) fixes this.

You rock.

BTW. Are you addressing the issues with "automatically reprocess cmd line if gaps/overlaps found" not working? Also wbout automatically adding .sup to the end of subtitle names, just like all of the other file extensions. I understand why that one isn't there since for all of the rest of the file types the extension used determines the process eac3to takes. But it would be convenient to not have to add it to the end of every subtitle.

Thanks for all of your work. You are saving me and many others from carpal tunnel syndrome with needing to type less.
:thanks:

I love this GUI for Eac3to. Just one option I would like is the ability to change where the output file would end up without changing the command line. ie, my EVO file is on C: but I want to demux the files onto D: and then mux into an MKV on D:. Also, would it be possible to mux the subs into an MKV in one process aswell? It would be nice if something with forced subs could be demuxed and remuxed into an MKV in on swift move!

Great work.

It's taken me quite a while, but I've just begun to get a handle on some of the capabilities of Eac3to_and_more_GUI. I find it invaluable as part of the chain for remuxing my HD-DVDs for playback on my TViX media player.

I find using command line apps extremely frustrating, so I really appreciate the GUI.

I'm sure you have lots on your to do list, but a great option for me would be a "save as" .thd+eac option for eac3to.

Thanks for all your hard work.

I apologize to everyone for the lack of updates. I was expecting to get an operation earlier this month (first week actually), but some complications pushed it back until tomorrow. Once this is done tomorrow, I'll be off work while recuperating and should be in less pain and able to get the gui all caught up with eac3to and any progress in the other programs also. Sorry again everyone.

Just wanted to drop a note and say this is one of the coolest apps ever made. you are a lifesaver! i am happily remuxing all my blurays to mkv+flac. that batch processing queue is genious. once i got past the "lock to command line" needed for the mkvmerge part it was all downhill from there. being able to delete the temp files is great.
I just ran a batch yesterday of 10 movies and it did them all perfectly!

The only suggestion i could make that might make my life easier is to have a seperate output folder setting for eac3to and mkvmerge. i have to change my output folder each time in between each process.

I will always read my m2ts files from my source drive, then use a temp drive for the mkv and flac temp files, then i use my output drive to send my final MKV file.

when i make the batches i have to continually toggle the output drive. sometimes i might forget and have to redo it when i notice later.

it's not a real big deal but would speed things up a bit. or for all i know i can already set that and just don't know how...

thanks for everything!

dom_b
17th October 2008, 12:46
Changing the output for the mkv's would be great. I have the same trouble having to read and write to the same drive which slows things down.

digitlman
17th October 2008, 14:41
it does let me change the output, i write to a different drive, my desire was to have a seperate default output folder. it works now its just an extra step to change it each time. but really after i get my original collection of blurays converted then it wont really matter in the future as i may only do 1 or 2 at a time. its just a few extra clicks

Quick question. If I am muxing a H264 video from a m2ts, is it best to select I Frames seekable? What does it do?

dom_b
22nd October 2008, 14:49
I should'nt worry about it. As far as I know it just makes every I frame seekable, so you can skip up and down to the frame as apposed to every GOP frame which is around 2 a second. As I said though I shouldn't worry about it...

I was wondering if it would solve a problem I have a H264 AVCHD where I cannot fast forward or rewind (I can skip chapters ok).

dom_b

it may well do. i think it would depend on which player you are using. it won't alter the video in any way, it is just to do with how the video is muxed. you should give it a go out of interest and let us know if it helps! what player are you using?

Sony S350 Blu Ray Player. I am using Ripbot to create a AVCHD DVD from a Blu Ray (or HD-DVD) and burn it using Imgburn.

dom_b
22nd October 2008, 17:23
I don't think that will make any difference, I would say it is either the player or the authoring software that is causing the problem as that is what finally muxes it. eac3to will create a muxed file but the authoring package will extract the stream and remux it. Have you tried using TSMuxer to create a BD-R?

dom_b
22nd October 2008, 17:29
here is a guide how to do it...

nwg
22nd October 2008, 17:53
I am not using ripped HD discs not MKV's. I don't have BD burnning capability (too expensive). I create M2ts files of the movies (or EVO's) for playback on the pc. I just started using ripbot as my pc is not powerful enough to run a H264 BD or HD-DVD at the high bitrates. I am using Ripbot to lower the bitrate plus convert to AC3 using Eac3to.

I got a quick test. I am extracting the video and audio from a ripbot disc and mux it back together using tsmuxer and then burn to a +RW.

dom_b
22nd October 2008, 19:46
you should just be able to open the m2ts stream in tsmuxer and create an avchd structure in tsmuxer to burn on a red laser disc for you blu-ray player, thats what i meant. not burn a bd-r...

Can anyone comment on this or shead some light. AVG just recognized eac3to_more_gui.exe as a "Worm/Autofit.FOV" after a definitions update.

Eac3to_more_GUI has been on my PC for quite some time now with AVG and no problems. Anyone else experience this?

It doesn't appear McAfee, the experts that they are, is going to change their virus definitions because I report a false positive. Maybe if several or hundreds report it might get their attention! Seems like a better option would be for the yr_eac3to_more_gui program to be updated, unless I am the only one unable to use it, then I'll just be looking for alternatives.

Hi folks,

Is there a "Trick" to downloading this Program!?!?

I have tried downloading it from Yraen's Yahoo web page and the MediaFire site ... it goes all the way to 99% download and then Chokes and it says that my Hard Drive might be full! Well, I have like 40 GB still left.

Any ideas what my problem might be!?!?

Or yet another download site?

Thanks,
