Omisys PX-331

Hi!

I have a Omisys PX-331 DVD-MPEG4 player and it "should" support DivX subtitles, which format, I don't know, but I can't get it working. Any tips? I have the latest firmware (3.0).

Does anyone know which chipset this player uses or how I can find out without opening the player?

Thanks!

The three main formats I know of (they are supported on my player, which uses the Zoran Vaddis 776 chipset) are MicroDVD .sub, .srt, and SAMI .smi subtitles. SRTs seem to be the most commonly used with videos, but I don't know if that means they're the most commonly supported on standalones...

Anyway, they're probably more likely to work if you try them as separate files (not muxed in the AVI) with the same name as the video, e.g. XXX.avi + XXX.srt. If you want to test if multiple subs on one video work, try a naming scheme like XXX.en.srt, XXX.de.srt, etc.
