should I use alternate or zigzag scan for movie Hitch

Hello everyone I am making an SVCD of the movie Hitch (using d2sroba and cce 2.50) and after loading the ripped vob files in bitrate viewer, it says the scan type is alternate not zigzag.....should I trust bitrate viewer and uncheck zigzag under the encoder tab in dvd2svcd? can someone tell me which will give an overall better quality svcd...all of the movies that I have encoded have been zigzag and this is the first time I see alternate...any insight will be greatly appreciated
