Is there any way to PAUSE?

Hi all..

Ususally I use ProCoder2 (I find the quality superior), but I was having problems doing a few movies so I switched to CCE SP with some extra passes..

However, its now the next morning, and I've still got 2 movies left on my batch process, but I want to play counter-strike..

Is there a PAUSE button somewhere? I know when I was using ProCoder2, there was an actual PAUSE button right on the minimized encoder, but with EclCCE I see no such option..

I would also like this feature, as sometimes encodes take a long time.....is there a way to have DVDRB pause between encoding segments? I ask because I don't think it's possible to pause CCE in the middle of an encode.

All you have to do is ABORT... when you restart Rebuilder it will ask you if you want to start from the last successful encoded segment.

Task manager, Processes, rightclick the CCE process and select Set Priority -> Low. You can now play and do whatever you like on the PC while still encoding. CCE should "always" be run in Low Priority IMO.

AFAIK, this only works if you disable 1-click mode. If 1-click is active then it will start the job over again. In 3-click mode you should be able to press the 'Encode' button to continue where it left off.

If you are in the middle of a batch job you will have to finish that job in non-batch, 3-click mode. If you attempt to resume with the batch session it will start from the beginning again. If you have any more jobs left after finishing the aborted job you can then remove the finished jobs and start another batch session with the remaining jobs.

One thing you can try is to bring up CCE and cancel the encode manually, but don't close CCE itself. DVD-RB will wait until CCE closes before continuing with the next segment. When you are ready, finish encoding the segment with CCE then manually close the CCE window and DVD-RB should resume. This may not work in all situations, because I'm not sure how various versions of CCE and/or ECLCCE react when the current job is canceled. Some setups may close CCE entirely instead of just stopping the encode. In that case DVD-RB will move on with that segment not completely encoded, which would have to be corrected before rebuilding.

Sometimes I forget that there's a "One click mode"

What you wrote is correct, but I'd like to clarify in case it was confusing to anyone.

You can abort whether you're running 1-click or 3-click mode; you just have to be sure that when you restart, you change over to 3-click mode before continuing. (Whenever I do this, I always change over to 3-click mode right away, so that if I stop DVD-RB and restart later, I won't accidentally start the entire process over again.)
