Ellion 520C player

I've been thinking of getting a hardware Divx player for some time now. I looked over the available players back around september last year and decided to wait, as there was too much re-encoding needed to get the majority of my movies running on the available players. That made buying one kind of redundant - If I'm going to re-encode and reburn, I can already quickly and easily use tmpeg for my standalone DVD player.

Then I saw the Ellion 520C for £76.32, from Scan. Seems a reasonable price. So is this a high-compatibility "all in one" solution? What chipset does it use? If it's outdated, what chipsets/models should I be looking out for?

If this has been asked before, I'm sorry. I searched the site and couldn't find any references to it.

its build on the sigme 8500 chip that dosen't suport gmc nor qpel

ill recomand a player based on the MTK 1389xx chipset like Elta 8883, scott 842, rimax and so many others, as long you avoid the 1389GE chip
