DspGuru : other/more opts for noise gate?
Would it be possible to make the noise gate plugin such that it accepts more options, or perhaps allows input of a specific db level? The levels given as options are way too low for the noise on my audiobook tapes I'm recording to pc. It's the only thing keeping me from using besweet as my only post-edit/cropping batch encoder all-in-one.
I could try to compile it for myself but i have no clue what double NoiseGate=0.00056; is derived from. It's non-linear, so I'm not sure how to set it for other levels. (Wait, is this a log function?) Could you maybe take a few secs and compile up a version for say -30db -35db -40db -45db -50db or something in there in addition to the other one? Or give me the function you use to derive this? Thanks if you looked. |

sorry, don't have the time for this.
my plugins are open-source, and anyone can freely modify them.
