Encoding Speed of AMD XP 1800+

Could anyone please tell me what encoding speed I should expect from AMD XP 1800+ (using CEE2.5) ?
I am planning to buy it because my current CPU speed is really too low, around 0.5X encoding speed.
Thanks in advance.

My current system configuration:
Athlon 1 GHz
256 MB DDR
IBM 40 GB Harddisk (7200 rpm)

Please. This is even Rule 1 of the forum rules.

It wouldn't piss people off as much, but right now there is a huge thread that just got put back up to the top in the advanced section.

This is a warning. Next time a strike for being lazy and not reading the rules.

Thread locked.
