Editing out wind noise
I'm looking for a way to edit out wind noise from a few of my videos (car racing videos, windows were down ~~~> stupid me). I've tried Premiere's audio filters and can't seem to be able to elminate the noise. Anyone have any suggestions? I'd still like to hear my engine, so I don't want to turn the music track into the main track.

You also might try running it through an expander, probably after eqing it, I'm not sure if there are any free directx plug ins for expanders out there, probably somewhere...but then you could set the threshold just above the audio level of the wind, so that when it's just the wind sound, the volume will be drastically reduced.
