CCE / Scenarist - Pearl Harbor

Please help!

I'm having problems with Pearl Harbor

I have followed the Ifoedit/CCE guide step by step up until the point where scenes are added. My problem is that none of the scenes I add(using scenarist) are using the same timecode as chapter-x states it should be. I made sure that before I encoded that frame rate was set to 23.976. I also ran pulldown. All scenes that I add seem to be milliseconds off. I have read in previous post not to be too concerned with that. I've tried the scene calculator and still no luck.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the time.

i had a similar problem with die hard 3.

i found out from the ifoedit/cce thread that it's because scenarist needs and i-frame in the video wherever you want to insert a scene. if your i-frames are not exactly where they need to be, then you cannot select the correct scene timestamp.

to make cce create a video with proper i-frames, you need to use chapterxtractor (set on %f for formatting) and copy and paste each chapter startframe into cce. i think there's more detail in doom9's guides.

thanks for the reply ghetto.......

I have setup the chapter i-frames as described in doom9's guide. I still cannot get accurate timestamps for the chapters when using scenarist. I get close but never exactly

Also if a movie is showing film at below 95% when previewing with dvd2avi do I need to perform IVTC even though I intend on playing this on the tv.

I'm a lost puppy now....

I have the same problems with scenarist ...the scene times are always off....its like scenarist shifts it a couple of seconds forward or sometimes backward......I also followed doom's guide ( i am reauthoring PAL movies).....and all went well until this point...the chpater x also was set on %f ...so i also don't know how to resolve this problem in scenarist....hope someone can help.....wich there was an easier way to import those chapter rimes into scenarist!!!

wow...

now i'm having the exact same problem with scenarist and black hawk down.

i cce'd with all the right chapter frames, yet still scenarist refuses to add them where i want. (ntsc movie).

hrm...

i think there's something about this in the BIG cce/ifoedit thread...

i hope someone reads this and summarizes.
