Very Very Easy DVD5 creation

Thanks to the advice of others, this method was very simple and plays fine in my stand alone player. I was successful with both ac3 and DTS audio.

I used SmartRipper to save the rip of video m2v and audio either ac3 or DTS. Then i used Maestro to import the m2v and either the ac3 or DTS. Compiled it then burned it. Done (easy as 1,2,3)!!

I just did a 2+ hour movie and simply used Rempeg to reduce the video size then imported to Maestro and compiled it with the DTS soundtrack. Worked fine.

Thanks to those of you who contribute to the forum

Why on earth use remeg, it's total garbage and full of bugs. Try using cce instead, it's far superior.

I can get 2 movies with original ac3 sound onto 1 dvdr, and these 2 reduced bitrate movies will still look better than 1 rempegged movie!

The Rempeg movie came out ok. I use CCE all the time, but I also like to experiment with other software.

YOU mention you put 2 movies on one dvd. Do they play in a stand alone player? If so, what did you do so you can choose which will play when you put the disc in?

I use maestro to create a menu to select between the two movies, then mux the original ac3 back into the cce'd video using the syncronize options in maestro.

I have a template in photoshop that creates the menu, I can then either scan the front cover of the dvd to add to the template, or in the case of a svcd->dvd conversion, I'll download the image from imdb.com and use that instead!

Sorry i cannot help those that have been emailing me for Maestro! I acquired mine prior to Spruce-tech being bought out. Only one suggestion for you is Google.

Look, what you lot get up to OUTSIDE OF THIS FORUM is entirely up to you, but you all KNOW that WAREZ REQUESTS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS FORUM!! Time and time again this goes ignored. This places the entire forum under jeopardy and consequently cannot be tolerated. Please do not flout the rules. Thankyou.

Do you guys NOT GET what Arky is saying?

TAKE THE WAREZ REQUESTS ELSEWHERE!

Arky: Maybe it's time to start deleting/banning people immediately if they ask for warez...

I particularly like the Easynews approach. Ask about warez in their support forum and they immediately kill your account. No second chances, etc.
