vob to mpeg 1?
I followed all the steps in the user guide for converting vob to vcd. Everything works OK except: When I went to use Nero to burn the files, it says mpeg 2 is an invalid file format for vcd ( I already knew this - that format is for burning dvd). I really want to burn the VCD in Mpeg 1 format. I can't seem to find where I can change the final format from Mpeg 1 to Mpeg 2? It keeps defaulting back to Mpeg 2? Also . . . . does TMPGE leave the same type of watermark as CCE and if so - are there other free encoders that don't use the watermark? Thanks - Shane (newbie)

Did you encode the vobs as an mpeg2 SVCD file and are now trying to burn that mpeg2 file as a VCD? It won't work. SVCD and VCD have different resolutions to begin with (352x240 for VCD, 480x480 for SVCD), and different bitrates.
You have to encode as mpeg1 to start with. It sounds like you should check out www.vcdhelp.com and their guides on how to make VCDs. TMPGenc is free for mpeg1 encoding and has no watermarks. |
