how to get/rip only music from/off a video dvd

I haven't found any topics on this issue and I hope this is the right place to ask.

I'm very interestet in the soundtrack of Independence Day (id4) but the official soundtrack and the existing bootleg don't conatin all of the backround music. Is it possible to get/rip only the music without any other audio effects, etc. off the video-dvd? If it is possible please tell me which programs are needed.
THX for help!

it's possible if the movie is mastered in such a way where at least one of the channels(from the 5+1) contains only music and none of the other sounds. If that's the case, Azid can be used to extract just the channels you want, there's a few GUI's out there on doom's downloads, but there will be some guess and check to find out what channels you want, and again, this is only if the sound track was mastered in the way i mentioned, otherwise, no, there's no way.
