PGS Subtitle conversion on OSX
Looking for a little guidance in getting PGS subtitles extracted from an MKV created by MakeMKV (from a Blu-Ray disc) and converting them so I can mux them as softsubs into an MP4 container, that I can then play back on my PS3. I know you need an app to interpret the PGS subtitles once extracted ... do any exist for OSX ?
Currently, I use MakeMKV with Blu-Ray discs and use Handbrake to encode them with the High Profile x264 codec. Ideally I'd like to take the MP4 file I create with Handbrake (containing chapters and multiple audio tracks) and mux into it the converted subtitles (do I have demux all the streams first and then remux with the subtitles included?). Is this possible ? I'm not so clear on all the different subtitle options out there, so please forgive my ignorance. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you. |
