Bug in mpc dvd-playback?

I run mpc with its internal filters, but when i play dvds many (maybe almost 50%) seem to have great problem with menus. It seems I can't click on menu items, or that the mose-cursor position is way off somehow.

Also, on certain dvds, you can't use the position slider to jump around to different positions in the main movie, on some dvds this works just fine. And sometimes when you choose different chapters, the position cursor doesn't jump forward, instead it seems like i am a the beginning of the movie although the chapter changed just fine.

Anyone else noticed these problems?

Yes, this is a known problem. Unfortunately, the author (Gabest) is too busy to continue working on MPC.

Are there any known workarounds for this with mpc? Is it possible to use some external dvd-filter? In that case does that fix the menu and seeking problems in mpc?

Well, I don't know a workaround for MPC, but I can recommend VLC media player as a DVD player with proper Menu support.

My DVD menus work fine, are you using Celtic_Druid's 611-3 build?

I am using the latest from sourceforge, 6.4.9.0 I think.

Do other builds fix the menu problems?

I can't say for certain, here is a link to Celtic_Druid's build to try out.

http://ffdshow.faireal.net/mirror/Me...v611-3.2kxp.7z

I tried to reproduce this but couldn't, tried all combos of Output modes (VMR7/9/Haali) and with/without the internal mpeg2 decoder.

Can also try http://www.nvidia.com/object/dvd_dec...223-trial.html .

Don't forget to disable the internal mpeg2 decoder.

Great. Crltic_Druid's build works fine with menus which don't work in Gabest's latest 6.4.9.0 version.
