WMP10 trouble

[This thread was self-hijacked. Please see the WMP10 problem report in the poster's second post, below.]

------------------------------------------

Hi,

I'm a newbie who's just downloaded AGK 2.26 and tried to run it... it fails to start, throwing up an Application Error box...

"Exception EConvertError in module AutoGK.exe at 00008ECA. '.1.2' is not a valid integer value'

Umm, I wonder if this is anything to do with me having DivX 6.1 installed? I will remove it and retry but just wondered if anyone else knew anything about this.

Cheers

Bill

yep, it's DivX...

Yep, having removed DivX, the problem went away.

Mind yew, I've got another problem now... MS Media Player 10 won't play any of my files.. at all... mp3, avi, mpg nuffin'. Sigh. It simply claims to be unable to play file sof that type.

I've tried reinstalling MP10 but to no avail. It's irritating, 'cos it was working and it's a newly built machine (WinXP SP2 and all the updates).

Back to wearing a thinking cap for a bit...

Hello, and welcome to Doom9's forum.
  1. You missed this sticky: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=104087 regarding DivX 6.1.
  2. You've then reported a general problem with WMP10.
Please review the forum rules. You'll find a link at the top of this page. You've violated rules 1 and 3 in your very first two posts.

I'm taking the liberty of:
  • Changing the title of this thread.
  • Editing your first post to point people to your second.
  • Moving this thread to the software player's forum.
