My first audio decode problem. Please help.
I've been using dvd2avi to extract AC3 audio and then feeding it and my re-encoded mpg files into DVDMaestro.
Today I was trying to do Shrek (the 4:3 version) and when I went to add the 'media asset' to DVDMaestro I got the following error: "Cannot locate a frame SYNC word at an expected byte offset. Data might be corrupt. (0xc1070042)" I re-did the dvd2avi piece and got the same message, so it wasn't a corruption problem. Any ideas what the problem is or my solution? Any other AC3 Decoders I can try? Roveer |

Most of us here are using some form of Azid (exe or dll). You could also try vStrip.

just making sure I get this right.. you said you extracted the AC3 which would point to demuxing only and loading the AC3 in Maestro, but then you're asking for other AC3 decoders. What's it gonna be now? decode or demux? You've been given some good examples of AC3 decoders.. to demux I suggest vstrip

Just wanted to close out this thread with an exaplantion of what was happening. As it turns out the Audio wouldn't import into DVDMaestro because it was taken from a movie that had multiple angles and was not processed correctly. You know it when you see it. Opening titles jumping all over the place in different languages. Well, the audio basically does the same thing.
Fixed my multi-angle problem and the audio problem went away as well. Regards, JHP... |
