Cant create a VCD

Hey there.
I'm trying to use DVD2SVCD to create a VCD file from a DVD.
I can't do it.
I choose VCD as output and I get a 1150kbits/sec (VCD quality) but a 480x480 resolution (wich is NTSC SVCD).
I talked to some guys on the internet and everyone I asked help couldn't create a real VCD too.
What can I do?

Set your DVD2SVCD level to "advanced" in the misc tab, then ensure in the frameserver tab that the "resize to" (option which only appears in advanced mode)is set to 352x240/288.

Then try again.
Let us know how you get on.

Didn't work well.
The image is full of squares and the resolution is messed up.
Do I have to change the bbMPEG settings too?
There is an option there to change from SVCD (default) to VCD, but there is also a warning saying I can mess everything up.
Dunno what to do.

The first thing to do is a bit of reading.
The rules would be a good placed to start, since I had to edit offensive language from your post.

Then have a look at this sticky on how to post a problem.

Also, play back the Encoded_video...mpv files and the bbMPEG_muxed_filexx.mpg using Media Player (or preferably Win/PowerDVD) and see if the problem is present in those.

The more detail you can give us the more likely it is others will be able to track your problem down.

Just created a full VCD using tmpg, no problems. Looked quite nice actually. I made NO changes to the default settings in a new install.

Sorry for the offensive language. As english is not my first language and I didn't remember any word to explain the problem I used that just to be understood.

The reply is incomplete. I was getting a 404 error in the university.

The video was encoded normally. So I deleted the rest of the files and now I don't have the log.
But that's no problem. I'll encode the vid again and then I tell you guys what happens.

As you can see the vid is like 16:9, and it should be 4:3.

I forgot to say that the bbMPEG_Muxed_File00.mpg file is 522x240.
But I seleted VCD (352 x 240/288) on the "Resize to" option.
Now I used TMPGEnc to create a VCD sample from the Muxed file and it now has 352x240 resolution. But I'd like to avoid this step as I don't want to lose quality.

Now I'm really confused.
Now I tried to use PowerDVD to get a screen shot again and the video is normal there.
Media player is playing it as 522x240 but PowerDVD played normally.
No idea what to do.

To be honest, if it plays OK in PowerDVD it probably is OK.
Windows media player is notorious for being poor at playing (S)VCD and DVD movies.

However, just to be on the safe side, could you open the Avisynth_script_file.avs in Notepad, and paste the contents here.
