Guys, as mods don't always read all threads, you can feel free to "report" a post or simply ask a mod via PM to approve it (as setarip_old has done). We are always happy to act on such requests right away. With the sharing sites getting a bit dodgy these days, attachments here are a better thing, IMHO.

When uploading an attachment is there a way to add something to the page to the effect of "if this attachment isn't approved withing x number of days, please report the post or PM a mod" or something similar? (Or is there something like that there now? I don't know as I've never added an attachment to a post)
It's just that I think most people (well I did anyway) would assume when adding an attachment there would be some sort of "behind the scenes" notification to alert the mods to an attachment which needs approving. As you said, with sharing sites becoming less reliable these days, uploading files as an attachment instead makes sense, but ironically I think one of the reasons many people do the former rather than the latter, is the latter can put a hold on continuing a discussion or getting help for several days while waiting for an attachment to be approved. |

@hello_hello
At the same time as you post an attachment, simply report it by clicking on the red, white, and black triangle and submit a simple message, such as, "Please review attachment and, if deemed acceptable, please make it available for downloading" |
