How PAL DVD is mastered?
Filmed movie or taped movie, how it is mastered to PAL DVD, when original release is on NTSC DVD?
Does it Re-encoded from NTSC DVD or mastered from film/tape? I'm talking about official releases. Sorry my English is not so good. |

Film is recorded in 24fps.
I don't know about PAL DVD, if they convert to 25 or telecine to 25 (leaning more towards converted). But, (PAL-regioned) BD will most likely keep it at 24fps, with only exception of interlaced BD's where it would be 50i (25p deinterlaced). In case of interlaced BD, I've no idea what they do, but I imagine it's the same as interlaced DVD's from PAL regions. That's me guess. I'm sure others would be able to shed more light.
