View Full Version : Subtitle timing with keystrokes

Dear friends;

Is there any subtitling tool that I could use to mark start and end time of each subtitle by hiting keyboard strokes?

For example, I start to watch the movie on my PC. Everytime a character starts to speak I'd hit, let's say, left control. When it finishes speaking, I'd hit right control. At the end of the movie, the software would automatically produce a *.srt editable text file, with all the correct timing. I only would have to worry about inserting the dialog lines.

Hope I've managed to explain it well, english is not my language.

Best Regards,

Substation Alpha can this. I think the old Medusa can it too.

DivXLand Media Subtitler (http://www.divxland.org/subtitler.htm) does the same thing exactly, and supports 30 subtitle formats besides SSA.
