This is the first I'd heard of the inconsistency in the selections when swapping skins -- I'll look at that. The Runtime Error 9 was a silly error that has been corrected and will come out soon in the next version. When you open the program the first VTS in the windows should be selected. If you click on it first you won't get the error.

Okay, :thanks: I try this the next time.
And what about the unremembered streams when you restart RB? This didn't work in older versions but worked fine in a lot of versions before 0.93.2.

Thank you very much. Just installed it but still haven't tested it. Nice interface.

Cu RippraffI'll check it out -- that's a little surprising as it really hasn't changed -- but sometimes new code has unexpected consequences. I'll look into it -- but an initial look doesn't confirm your report, I've started, changed, restarted several times -- and it always seems to work for me. I even took out the fix for the Runtime Error 9 and couldn't repeat it.

I got a "Runtime error 5" on rebuilding phase with "THE GOONIES" pal.
I did it with CCE Basic 2.70.1.4 and now I'm going to retry with CCE-Sp 2.50 .
I will investigate then let you know !!!

Ok , same problem with CCE2.50 and HC0.15b yet!!!

You're right. I can't repeat this anymore too. Maybe I swapped the skin before. Sorry for putting you to trouble. :o

@jdobbs: Did Metallica - S&M (PAL) again with CCE 2.67. Didnīt work. The Same as it is with HC. Picture stopps when the Angle gets switched back from e.g. Angle 5 ends to Angle 1.... Guess I have to do that Bitch "by Hand" which is a lot of work  Perhaps itīs the Fact that the Angles are encoded with a too high bitrate as it getīs limited the more angles are used?

I tried the new skins, but they don't seem to work properly if you are set to "large fonts"/120 DPI mode in Windows (Control Panel / Display / Settings tab / Advanced button / General Tab).

Screen shots of them (from other folks) look real nice, though. They look pretty scrambled at 120 DPI...

Started DVD-RB. It's in "Movie Only" mode with 4 audio streams in the list (all checked on). If I uncheck the last one I get a dialog that says, "Runtime error '9', subscript out of range".

If I switch Movie Only mode off, select the same VTS, and uncheck the last audio stream, there is no error.

This only happens when there is no VTS selected. When I start it up, there's already a rip in the source directory from last time. When DVD-RB comes up, there is a thin line around the item in the VTS list, but it's not highlighted. If I click on the VTS in the list first to highlight it, and then click off the audio stream, there is no error. If I click on the audio stream first (VTS in list but not selected) you get the error. Probably trying to use the -1 (CurSel when nothing is selected) as an array index somewhere in the code...

Thanks. I've fixed that and will get it out soon. I'm trying to fix as many of the "new" bugs introduced with the new interface and/or ILVU code and get them out to everyone.

I pesonally still like the original skin, my reasons why -

1. You can see all the Folder Path, VTS, Subpicture information etc on one screen instead of having to press tabs etc to see it,(waist of time in my view, pritty, but slower to use).
2. See 1. :)

That's why it's still there. Everybody has different tastes.

I don't see if someone else has write about this. I try the tech Original and when the Prepare phase has ended (from what I see in the log) the buttons Encode, Rebuild was gray and the Prepare still shows Abort. I had to press the Abort to continue with the rest of the process. The same doesn't happen when the Encode phase has ended.

PS. jdobbs keep up the good work!!

@jdobbs,

First I wanna say thanks for your great work on DVD-RB 1.0 RC1,
I just don't have much time for testing it but I will.

I wanna to ask you is about the "Menu".
I hope there will be possible to reduce the "Menu" size.

Thank you.

jdobbs
7th July 2005, 11:52
Which menu?

Rockas

I guess "ookzDVD" is refering the Menus Compression... DVD Menus :D

Just menushrink before processing

k2002rahmani
7th July 2005, 17:17
Well, that can result in preprocessing errors that get blamed on DVD-RB. I would not recommend using other programs prior to DVD-RB.

winny
7th July 2005, 18:08
On the rare occasions where I've needed to pre-process I've always tried again using dvd-rb only before choosing to report a potential problem.

I don't see the harm in using pre-processing programs, providing you don't report any dvd-rb errors without considering the above caveat.

7th July 2005, 19:53
Bad news , I also failed with my second multiangle project :(

The DVD is "Genesis - The way we walk Disc 1". No preprocessig

Again the problem is during the rebuild phase , but now the error is :
" Run-time error '63' Bad record number".

I also tried "Special Error Processing" option.

Yes, winny, that is a good point. But not many consider to try DVD-RB alone if an error occurs.

For those with Runtime error 6:

I had the same Problem with an older version of dvd-rebuilder. As far as I could investigate at this time something went wrong while encoding. I also used the 2.7 branch of cce. If you use and older version like 2.66 oder 2.5 this Problem won't occur. Don't ask me why but that's what I found out

Same problem with RC2 :scared:

I got a Run-Time error '6': Overflow during the rebuild phase

The DVD is U2 Elevation Tour Disc 2

jdobbs
9th July 2005, 05:09
Oh, well... that's one I'll have to keep looking for. I'll look for one of the discs that causes it. Is the U2 disc NTSC, R1? Could you do it from scratch, (with no pre, post, or intermediate third party processing of any kind) -- and see if it repeats?

FilipeAmadeuO
9th July 2005, 10:13
- Fixed "Runtime Error 6" that could happen when while interleaving ILVU objects.

That one fixed my error with Alien 3 (R2)
Thank you

PS - One strange thing that happens is that VTS_01_X.vob (movie) have very diferent sizes. I know that this is not a problem for playing the dvd but itīs not very normal (unless there is a layerbreak)

jdobbs
9th July 2005, 12:08
That is to prevent ILVU code from being split between two files. I put that special case in because I've been told it shouldn't happen. I have to say, I've seen it on original discs, though. If it becomes a problem I can remove it.

FilipeAmadeuO
9th July 2005, 13:11
I think that is no problem when the ILVU code is split between two files. All the originals that i have tried are like that.
For me i prefer all the files having the same file size. But please focus on more important things.

One more question:
- Is it possible to include in DVD Rebuilder and options do select/ non-select some PGCīs . I can explain why. Normaly some dvdīs have more than one PGC for VTS and in some cases one of the VTS is the trailer and i donīt want to reencode these VTS because normaly trailerīs have fadings scenes and CCE has some limitations on it.
I think it should work like dvdshrink.
What is your opinion ?

jdobbs
9th July 2005, 13:30
It wouldn't work just to use the Viewer/Editor and blank the trailer?

FilipeAmadeuO
9th July 2005, 13:49
I donīt want to blank the trailer.
I just want to not reencode it.

jdobbs
9th July 2005, 15:51
I see. There will be an option in a future version to select cells to keep without reencoding.

FilipeAmadeuO

Iīve tried this film on my players and sometimes it misses a chapter, freezes and flicks between versions. There probably some problem with the IFOīs after dvd-rebuilder. I tried to do an adjust vob pointers with ifoedit and the problem continues.
