Hi.

I am experiencing download problems with vobsub, and only vobsub. In firefox, either the download does not start, or if it does, it downloads a .zip archive (699 KB) which, on extraction, offers only 'free-codecs.txt', an 8 KB text file. The vobsub_2.23.exe in the archive never comes.

First Alex Noe. Then LIGHTNING UK! And Doom9 gave us a chill when he went off to a sudden vacation, leaving his newssheet un-updated for 3 days. Man, if we were living in the Matrix, is this reality closing in on us finally?

This vobsub business is unnerving. What the hell is happening everywhere?

Regards.

EDIT 1 hour later:

Hi.

I just found out that my Matrix paranoia was baseless, at least in this case. VobSub 2.23 contains strain of AdWare.SuperBar which my antivirus (QuickHeal) wasn't allowing.

Disabling QuickHeal on-line protection was the thing to do.

But, then, repairing the file caused its total deletion. ...Any advice? I've informed my antivirus people whether letting it stay will be too bad. Will let you know what they say.

Regards.

There is neither virus nor malicious code in it

Of course there isn't. Only my antivirus is recognizing part of this software as an adware code. I've written to my antivirus people, and I've forwarded the vobsub223 (http://www.cotse.net/users/ukendt/Vobsub223.zip) linked at www.cotse.net for their opinion. Will post back.

Regards.
