looking for Medusa document or guide

I'm newbie. Eventhough i have use Subtitle workshop before, but this program was too tough for me. And yes, i already use search button and didn't find any document or guide of this program.

My work is related to karaoke timing. So, i wonder if anyone could give me some article about this would be great.

When you installed Medusa, the documentation was installed as well. The pictorial karaoke mode guide is included in the "More" section of the documentation.

I downloaded a program from this site.

It seem that the auther already changed ver. into Chrono sub. And i didn't find any document after installation.
All i have was just the program itself.

The old Medusa Subtitling Station doesn't exist anymore.

It used to have a link in Doom9 Italian, but it seems that they erase the old address where Medusa was stored for download.

My suggestion is: google it ou try any P2P programs to find these software.

Or, maybe, make a polite request in these forum to anyone that have Medusa's exe and sent you via mail. eg: Gmail.

I would prefer to use Medusa instead ChronoSub, because it seems more stable and elegant too.

If I were the author, Kaiousama, I will remain both programs for download: Medusa and ChronoSub.

One, because many people would prefer to use it (like me) and the other, to help in development in current version about that program.

Nowadays, I recommend you try to use Sabbu, much more stable to work and a very nice program too. :)

I use sabbu for general timing, but I still use Medusa for special purpose - the karaoke mode.

Thanks. It will be very useful for all the people interested in learning how to deal with this excellent program.

I really wanna suggest too if anyone have a virtual space to store Medusa.exe for all interested in download it.

Nowadays, ChronoSub is not so good like Medusa used to be. So, I think that program should be available to the community in some place. :)

In my opinion (and taste, of course), I prefer to use (for timing), that programs above:

1) Sub Station Alpha (Kotus, you did a great work!!)

2) Sabbu ( excellent work too, Kryptolus!!Keep improving)

3) Medusa ( sometimes, crash in my PC, but it's nice program )

4) VisualSubSync ( I don't like the way the program separate the
beggining and end of speech. But the video work better than other for me. Good program)

5) XombieSub (interesting, but crash in my PC)

Any more programs like that? If you know, just suggest it here too.

For convertions, editions and visual correction ( not so accurate like the programs using wav timing ) I name Subtitle Workshop as one of the best for those job.

PS: I really wanna know about Cavena And Systimes. These are professional programs for timing movies and broadcast material,in a professional way.

If someone know how to deal and work with that programs, feel free to comment about them. :)

There are many places on the net like snap files (http://www.snapfiles.com/get/medusa.html) that still offer Medusa for download. I won't duplicate the effort here.

Sorry, but the mentioned link refers (in Web Search Tools section) to Medusa - image downloader and not about Medusa Subtitling Station.

The last program is what I told all of you to store it in some virtual places for downloading, because it is not so common nowadays to be found it easily.

It happens because Kaiousama (Medusa's author) create a new project, called Chronosub, but that needs much more improvement.

In my opinion, Medusa is more stable and efficent than Chronosub. Maybe in the future, Chronosub would be more nice than his old version Medusa. :)
