Hi everybody, just want to ask whether it's somehow possible to mux picture subitles into OGM stream, just like several audio tracks or text subtitle files. VobSub makes IDX and SUB files. First one contains timestams, the other actual extracted pictures. Can these be used? Thanks a lot! (What a hassle to convert them to text with [sometimes] lots of typos.)

I suggest using MKV if you want to store subpictures in the same file as video. Get MKVToolnix (http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/index.html) and use the MKVmerge GUI to merge the video and subpicture files. then get the Matroska pack (http://www.matroska.org/downloads/windows.html) to view them. Or just use Media Player Classic's built in Matroska splitter.

Thanks for the idea of working with MKV container! It certainly offers a lot of possibilities. But unfortunately when I play MVK files with muxed text or picture subtitles, nothing is shown even though the VobSub filter is loaded (as set in MPC preferences). It simply shows no subtitles to choose from. Any idea why it doesn't work? Thanks again!

is there a directvobsub entry in the "Filters" menu in mpc or a green arrow icon in the system tray?
