Any tool for retiming subs in existing VOBs?

Is there any way how to alter timing of subtitles in existing VOBs? I have wrongly authored DVD and have to make correction to subtitles shifted by 2s from the middle of disc till the end and I really dont like the idea of reauthoring whole disc from scratch. Any idea?

You have to remux, since subpicture packs contain timestamps that besides subtitle timing also influence their placement into vob file. I would rip the subtitles off with vobsub, then run vobsub resync to adjust timings (you only need to adjust the timings of the first and last of your shifted subtiles and "save as"), then run SubToSup and mux everything back with Ifoedit.

Thanx for info, just could you be a bit more specific? I have just few experiences with these tools, if you just give me bit more info. I dont need where exactly press every button, just something like fast step by step how to do this and not to forget some important parts :-)

Demux:
1) Pgcdemux, open your original vob and demux all video/audio streams

If you had chapters then:
2) Ifoedit, open original ifo and save celltimes to file.

Subtitles:
3) Vobsub Configure, open original ifo/vob and rip your subtitles, (this creates sub/idx files)
4) SubResync, open idx file and change timing for your 1st and last of the shifted subtitles, SaveAs new idx/sub
5) SubToSup, open new idx, sup file(s) will be saved automatically

Mux:
6) Ifoedit, menu Dvd Author->Author New DVD, open video, audio, sup (and celltimes if you have chapters) and mux to new ifo/vob

or use Muxman or Rejig.

If that's all you had in your original dvd then you're nearly finished. You just need to copy subtitle colors from original IFO file to new one (with Ifoedit).

If you also have some menu then you need to reauthor everything with just your new vob file (forget about new ifo files) using your preferred app. In case there was just 1 VTS with 1 title and some menus than it should be safe just to replace original VTS_01_1.VOB with your new one and do a mock strip (read 2Cool's guides).

Ah, so it probably wont help me at all, because my VOBs are part of whole disc, not only main movie. It is just one of many VTSs on disc and even worst - it contains menus :(

Well, you CAN replace a vob/cell in the middle of a vts, there are just other tools involved. I don't have everything installed here in my office so I cannot check, but do try to search in the forum. Straightforward method would be to demux/split everything by vobid (with Vobedit or vstrip) until you get to the level of the vob id that contains your title only. Then you perform all (demux, subtitle, mux) operations only on that part of vts, join everything back (Vobedit), replace vts vob file and do a mock strip.
