Weird problem with VobSub, check the pics

I'm having a problem with Vobsub, just before installing VobSub my show was displayed as in the first pic. And after the show displays as in the second pic.

Why this is happening? I cannot watch my show with subtitles because if I install Vobsub looks super horrible. This happens with every file that uses Vobsub.

Maybe it's a compatibility issue with my videocard. This happens to me since I'm using an Ati 264VT2, it's an ancient PCI card with 2 MB. I know, I should be using another card but the stupid store where I bought my X850 has taken more than one month to do the warranty and I cannot use another videocard at the moment. :(

Any solution for my case? Maybe another player/program?
BTW, this happens too with BSPlayer. The screenshots are taken from WMP.

What are you using to decode the video? Colordepth on your graphic card? Colorspace setting in your decoder/filter?

It looks like area of subtitles is spreading out to full screen.
Check your subtitles settings.

I've tried Divx 5.21 and Xvid, bot have the same problem, it's just since I started to use that ancient PCI videocard. I'm using 16 bit colordepth since the video card renders very slow any video in other colordepth, but the problem is no matter which colordepth.

As for the settings for the codecs, I don't really know if there is something that could be done, I have changed postprocesing options to not at all, or even at full. As for Vobsub, I've never used any specific setting for it, I've always used it at default settings without problems.

I would really appreciate that the developers of Vobsub could try this with a similar videocard, but maybe it's useless since there's no computer with such a videocard today. :p

Maybe I'd have to wait another month, I don't know, until hopefully my warranty for my last generation videocard is done. :mad:

It worked. I was trying every mode with too little hopes because it wasn't working. But I found that setting my desktop to 24 bit colordepth and VobSub to RGB24 worked fine. :D Thanks again, you're my man. :)

The only down it's that the desktop refuses to work at any higher resolution than 800x600 at that colordeth, but anyway, it's nothing since I just have to change the res before watching anything. :)
