Following the subtitle guides here, I've had great success editing and enhancing the subs on my favorite Indian movie DVD's, which were missing subtitles only in the songs. My process, which has worked beautifully over a dozen times, is as follows:
1. Demux original DVD (NTSC 29.97 framerate) with DVD Decrypter (3.5.4.0) in IFO mode to one VOB file, saving the chapter information for DVD Lab also. Save VOB to MPG with MPEG-VCR.
2. Rip subtitles with SubRip to SRT format.
3. Edit subs with Subtitle Workshop 2.51, adding subtitles that were missing from the songs, and correcting any spelling mistakes.
4. Import all assets into DVD Lab Pro (1.00 build 041215) -- MPG or VOB file, subs, and chapter information.
5. Compile.
I've tried to do this recently with 2 more movies, and in each case I get to the point of editing the subs with Subtitle Workshop, and when trying to open the VOB file or the MPG made from it, I get the following error dialog. I wrote to the address shown, but haven't gotten an answer.

I can go back and open the MPG or VOB files I used in past projects, and they open just fine. I've tried reinstalling Subtitle Workshop, re-ripping the subtitles, using different tools to demux, nothing seems to make a difference. Any idea what could have changed? Any other troubleshooting tricks I can try?
