Hey there, having trouble muxing my srt sub file into my ogm. I've tried SubMux 2.23, it goes through the motions but when its done I open up the movie and the subs aren't showing up. I've also tried OggMux 0.9.5.1 and it spits an error about failing to render the srt file when i tell it to go. Any ideas? I'd really prefer to have it all bundled nicely into the ogm file - any help much appreciated!

Your srt file isn't corrupted or anything? it plays as separate subtitle/or opens in subrip or workshop, it's not empty?
Try muxing another srt file to test it out and narrow it down to the tools or the file.
I don't use submux or oggmux, but in my experience, srt do not cause any problem whatsoever as a rule.
Can you try vdubmod too for muxing?

yeah the srt file is OK, the subs show up when playing the ogm. just tried putting it into the stream list in vdubmod and did a direct stream copy, the file increased by the size of the srt file but they didn't show up, guess that method isn't the way to go. Do you need to add it through a filter or something? And if so, does that mean you have to then save the file with full processing mode (ick) or can you get away with direct stream copy? thanks for the help :)

No this is the way to do it.
I have the feeling you have a playback problem, probably related to an old vsfilter. Try and upgrade it (the latest is 2.36 at sourceforge). It usually lives in system 32 :)
PS: you do have vobsub right?
