Firstly I have admit I'm not sure if this thread belongs here. Move it to other place if necessary.
Now, I have been troubling myself with my Topfield PVR. Problem occurs when I try to rip DVB Subpictures to later use. For XViD that is. Not DVD authoring, no.
I have been using ProjectX to demux my rec-files (MPEG-TS) to m2v+mp2.
Then I mux it back to MPEG-2 (tmpGenc). Compicated perhaps but this is how I can do it. And it's all I want, all to xvid.
Problem:
ProjectX doesn't demux subpictures to any other format than sup.
Well, yes there are others to choose but they seem to be for Teletext use.
I think PX does the job (subpictures) well, dunno. My real problem is I can't convert this sup+ifo combinaton to srt. Is t possible and how it is done?
ProjectX tells if there is any subpictures created. So I guess it works with Finland's quite a bit non-standard dvb-text format too...
