Hello! (...excuse for my bad english)

I'm searching a valid method
TO TURN SUBTITLES ON BY DEFAULT IN "VOB" FILE.

ATTENTION !!!
* I want to edit "VOB" file only (...because my portable multimedia player read "VOB/AVI" files only)
* I don't want to edit "IFO" file (...because my portable multimedia player DO NOT READ "IFO" files)
* I don't want to create AVI/DIVX/XVID/MP4/VCD/SVCD file
...why? ...because I have a old PC (Pentium3)...
...I have tryed to create a AVI/DIVX/XVID/MP4/VCD/SVCD file with subtitles...
...but this is a too much longer time method (...too much hours for creation of this file).

You tell me: <<...upgrade/change your PC !!!...>>.
...NO! ...now is impossible for me...

I have read this solution:
http://home.tiscali.be/debie.roland/pgcedit/third_party/2cool/subtitles/subtitles_on_default_pgcedit.htm

...this is a great solution...BUT THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR ME...
...because this method edit "IFO" file ...and don't edit "VOB" file.
(...my portable multimedia player DO NOT READ "IFO" files...).

HELP!

AFAIK subpicture packs in vob have no "default" attribute, so everything is being controlled by parameters IFO file. But this really depends on your strange player.
BTW, I encoded a lot of divxes on my old P3.
