I'm trying to create a 16:9 movie made of two parts, with German and English subtitles. Here is my scenario:

VTS_1
|_______Title_1
|..............|_____Part1-t-pgc
|............................|_____German Subs
|............................|_____English Subs
|_______Title_2
...............|_____Part2-t-pgc
.............................|_____German Subs
.............................|_____English Subs

Subpictures under both Title_1 and Title_2 have "W" and "L" depressed (16:9 project!) and properly set languages. All subtitle bitmaps are properly encoded. No errors here.

When I go to Layout Editor and try to create the DVD folders on the HD, I'm getting the following error message:

The Subpicture Attribute(Language and so on) For Letter Box in PGC<Part2-t-pgc>:Stream<1>:Title<Title_1> is different from The Reference PGC<Part1-t-pgc>

Subpicture settings in both PGCs are identical!

Does anyone have a clue what is wrong here?

During last couple of days I was troubleshooting my problem and I found out what it was!
I think posting the solution will help guys running into the same problem in the future.

Here it is:

The problem here is the wrong subtitles (Subpicture) Properties settings. To fix it, click on the PGC in "Scenario Editor".
In the "Property Browser" window scroll down to "Subpicture Attribute". (If you don't have your properties window, open it from the menu bar "View --> Property Browser".)

* Double-click on "Subpicture Attribute". You should see "Subpicture Attribute #n | PGC Subpicture Attr" entries (one for each subtitle)
* Double-click on "Subpicture Attribute #0". You should see two "Decoding String Number" entries.
* Both lines must have the same entries! (Something like "0 German (Wide & Letter)"). If both lines are not the same, you will get the error message I'm talking about!
* Repeat the same for "Subpicture Attribute #1" and so on.
