Remove forced subtitles?

Hi, I have this problem:
I got movie in avi(divx) where are forced subtitles!I want them rip,but also remove from movie! Is there any solution how to do it?
I tried to search,but unsuccesfully! So if is it already somewhere,sorry for disturbing and thank you for link! :p

Ummm ... well, no, not that easy ... there is basically no "forced" subs in avis. I understand you can mux subs into an avi or other container formats, but these muxed subs rely on dvobsub (the green arrow thingy in the which always allows disabling of subs.

Do you mean subs hard-coded into the video? Then there is no way of removing them (apart from cropping or overlaying them with an opaque box and then reencoding.

In this case, it is probably best to re-encode from the original source.

Sounds like the avi is "hard subbed" which means you are likely out of luck as far as removing them goes. There is a program (and the name escapes me at the moment) that can pick out hard subs from an avi and make a text subtitle file from them, but I'm sure you can find some subtitle sites that will have the subs you need already..

Yeap, it maybe will be hardcoded subtitles,I just didn't know the right name!
I just wonder,when somebody could put it on,why somebody else can't take it off?

When I want to play movie and see hardcoded subtitles in other language then mine and put on subtitles in my language,so I mix 2 subtitles together!!! That's hell!!!

So I have to wait for realeasing DVD!!!

Because they were overlayed over the video prior to the encoding, covering the underlying objects and becoming the part of individual frames. It would be like asking someone to remove clothes from an actor (or actress) :)
