Vobsub : resizable ?

Just wondering if i add sub into a mkv or mp4, if they can be resizable.
can they extend to 4/3 though ?

Think of them as just a series of bitmaps. What can be done with them depends on the filter paining them over the movie. In vsfilter/dvobsub's case i would expect it to scale them by the same amount as applied to the movie itself. At least it does this for text subtitles, so i don't see why it shouldn't be able to do that with sub/idxes.

As for if you want to scale the actually stored data, you have to use some program to readout the "bitmaps", enlarge them like a paint program does and remux the result into the *.sub file. But i doubt this will actually increase quality..

so it could be not like srt, direct resizing, cose I share smtimes my movie to people who have difficulties to read.
