Hi, I have some AVIs that were encoded using XviD and have a 640x480 resolution. They play fine on my computer. However, I have a DVD player that can handle Divx, and while the vids play just fine, they have embedded subtitles that are too low to view. I can actually see the top part of the words but not enough to be of any use.
I have heard this called the "overscan area", and that some groups mistakenly put the subs there.
Is there anything I can do? I suppose one option would be to re-encode but I'm not sure what options I would use to make sure it can be seen properly after re-encoding.
