How to sync new subs with timestamp from old subs

hi,
I ve dl a new srt to add my language to my movie.
The new srt is almost in sync but i would like to use the timestamp from the original subs because they have better timings and length.
I could write something in excell but maybe someone has already
written it ?

Yes, it is possible! If your subs fit, more or less, with the one with better timing, you can use "Subtitle Work Shop" in: Edit/Timimgs/Adjust/Adjust to synchronized subtitles.
Another possiblitilty, if both subtitles are the same (Same quantity of lines, and all of them corespond with eachother) you can use: Edit/Timings/Read timings from file. Then you are going to copy the timing from one sub to the other.
One of this possiblities should work.
