@ rockas

+++++
Now... you own me an apologize :)
+++++

any given time ^_~

+++++
I've sent you the e-mail on a PM (1st November)
Thank God I'm not the only one that forgets thing :D
+++++

...but how was i to know that dvd-rb was YOU
i mistakenly thought the mail was coming from jdobbs and i actually addressed you so :D

anyway - all things sorted out now

the skins have been saved to jpg and sent to you, rockas

@ the seeker

thanx for the feedback

since i did not know that jpg could as well be used as format for the skin graphics (i stuck to the files/formats that came with v 0.65) i could offer you the skin(s) as jpg files now, which means a drastically reduced size for the skin(s)

But DVD-RB is me... I'm confused. I was the one to whom you forwarded the .RAR files recently. Is that what you're talking about?

Rockas
4th November 2004, 00:35
No... he was refering to me... I use the mail dvdrb@digitart.biz to all aspects related with rebuilder and www.dvdrebuilder.com

edit: were're talking about posting skins for downloads... I'm working on a page for that specific function.

DK

hmmm

it is confusing indeed

i got only ONE mail on november 1st of which i didnt know the sender

that was <dvd-rb@comcast.net> and i thought that that was your mail-address, jdobbs

i sent all three skins to that address

so actually i'm not sure whom i sent those files to but i thought it was you, jdobbs

hope we have sorted things out now

Rockas

When I said that i gave you the e-mail address I was refering to a PM that I sent you here on this forum...

this looks like a Portuguese comedy... have you seen the film "Oscar" of Silvester Stallone? :D

DK
4th November 2004, 00:59
ok, my apologies (finally :cool: )

and before this will end up in a never ending story i better not take a look at my pm inbox :p

you hopefully did receive the latest skins as jpgs i suppose

Rockas
4th November 2004, 01:03
yes I receive them... tomorrow I will make a specific page for all skins, ok?

thanks and keep it UP

DK
4th November 2004, 01:13
take your time and thanx for your skin-desing explaination

i'm rather looking impatiently forward to be able to get rid of the prepare/encodec/rebuild buttons and a few other buttons :rolleyes:

Rockas
4th November 2004, 01:23
tell me about it :D

Rockas

@DK

Can you please configure your sking making a folder for images?

That way only the .txt file will be on skins folder and every skin will have their own image's folder... will be easier for users to uninstall any skin that don't want to use.

On the .txt file you only have to add the path for the skin folder:

variable:folder/image.jpg

got it?

keep it UP

DK

no problem - consider it done

i'm working on a new layout & skin right now
as soon as i'll have finished or feel bored :D i will redo the former skins

DK
5th November 2004, 08:39

DotNoise (http://uncas.atlandide.net/images/dotnoise.jpg)

the other versions have been redone (put into subdirs) and sent to you, rockas

Hi DK,

Anyway... I think that until tomorrow (if not today) I'll get it done. :)

DK

@ the eDealer

jdobbs

Point taken. ;)

DK
6th November 2004, 00:53
terrific

cant hardly wait:)

DK

i have changed DotNoise's main skin a little bit

i wasn't really satisfied with the statusmask width (and so wasnt the edealer ;) ) so i increased width and replaced prepare, encode and rebuild buttons

DotNoise (http://uncas.atlandide.net/images/dotnoise_2.jpg)

so much for the good news

creating a new layout for the setup window, however, does NOT work at all

first i changed some values of e.g. cce basic path - nothing happened

i ended up deleting all entries in the setup section but still ALL masks were present like the cce basic path or audio + subs

so all in all i have no chance of creating any other layout that differs from the standard one

:(

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

edit:

DotNoise slightly retouched (http://uncas.atlandide.net/images/dotnoise_3.jpg)

jdobbs

Well for what it's worth I found out why you can't rearrange the SETUP screen correctly. It was simple. I forgot to put the code in for some of the objects. :rolleyes: I'm working on v0.67 now and it will include fixing that, adding the two-state buttons, and relieving you of the burdon of having to deal with "standard" buttons.

Rockas
7th November 2004, 20:20
Now I don't know if I should publish the previous skins?!?!?

What do you think DK?

DK
7th November 2004, 20:55
sorry, i have no idea what you're driving at, rockas

btw i'm still confronted with windows prepare/encode/rebuild buttons
(and i did the rewrite options)

in the setup window, the OK button is gone but not in the main window

jdobbs
8th November 2004, 01:57
I'm trying to decide how to handle those. The problem is that they change states as they are working. It's a royal pain-in-the-ass to have to create images for each of the states, swap out the images, keep track of them (right now I can just look at the caption of the button to determine what action to take), and reset them at the right moment.

You may have to design around them for the time being.

hi jdobbs,

dont waste your time on this cosmetical problem

i thought i was possible in 0.67 and didnt know what i was possibly doing wrong

if you say you didnt have the time to change that then i'm not complaining :D

two more questions though:

- for some reason i am not able to place the rejig mask more to the left side than depicted here:

http://uncas.atlandide.net/images/dotnoise_setup2b.jpg

...no matter what values i tried

- would it be possible/not too much hassle to change the pink colour as standard background in the progress & overall mask?

jdobbs
8th November 2004, 19:07
I'll look at the placement of that textbox. I'll also consider an adjustment for the color of the bars. Just a note: the reason I'd decided not to make it adjustable was because of the white text that gets printed. You need a background color upon which white text an be read.

DK
8th November 2004, 19:14
very much appreciated :thanks:

btw: could a light grey not be a solution, as it wont hurt the eye too much and provide the necessary difference to white text?

DK
9th November 2004, 04:12
new skin for the old ceremony :D

skin AQUA:

jdobbs
9th November 2004, 04:46
for some reason i am not able to place the rejig mask more to the left side than depicted here: It was a cut&paste error. The left, height, and width values for the ReJig box were being read from the CCEBasic entries in the definition file.

Whoops. Next version.

DK
9th November 2004, 11:23
good to know

thanx

+++++

since attachments seem to take quite a while:

link to AQUA skin (http://uncas.atlandide.net/images/aqua2.jpg)

p.s. i encountered another strange phenomenon

in the setup dialogue i selected ALL audio + subs saved both and was wondering why NOTHING was preselected in the main window

now i found out that selecting NONE and saving this will lead to ALL (audio as well as subtitles) preselected :confused:

@DK

... again... I'm sorry... but life isn't always as we planned :(... anyway... I got the downloads pages (for skins) ready... but my local server just broke down so I'm fixing it so I can test the integration of that pages (skins downloads) with the www.dvdrebuilder.com web system... I'm trying to be as fast as I can..

Thanks
