subtitds.ax error help

hey all,

Getting this error below when trying to play avi files through media player 10.
I have also installed ACE mega codec pack 5.59.12BETA2


Error caused by Tobias Waldvogel: No specific solution found

Problem Description:

An unknown error occurred in the Subtitle (subtitds.ax) created by Tobias Waldvogel This application/driver is loaded during startup and may cause problems even if you are not currently using Subtitle (subtitds.ax).

any idaes on how to fix? or a better codec pack to install?

Simply unregister subtitds.ax ... if you're not sure how, RL Filter Manager offers easy way to do that.

(1) Go to the Control Panel->Add or Remove prog.
Look for 'DirectShow Subtitle filter collection'
If found, uninstall it. END

(2) If not found, then [WinKey]->[R]->type
regsvr32 /u subtitds.ax [Enter]
