ati catalyst 4.10 causes video stutter with subs

just installed the ati catalyst 4.10 and noticed stutter when playing video files with subs (idx+sub and srt at least)
proggies/settings
win xp pro sp2
mpc 6.4.8.2
vobsub 2.23
xvid 1.0.2 29082004 koepi binaries
shuttle sb75g2
p4 3.0ghz HT on
asus x800xt pe

thing i did
played around with directshow video output in mpc, no luck there
however choosing VMR7 (renderless) cause the stutter to appear just as the subs begin to appear and VMR9 (renderless) cause the stutter to appear as subs disappear (i could be wrong here, sorry, too many retries)
opening the subs in subtitle workshop and previewing plays the file with NO stutter at all ?!
playing the file with no subs works great
playing the file with ati catalyst 4.9 works great

tried to contact ati but their contact customer care section by email is broken, returns an error when i try to input my problem, jesus...

any suggestions, anyone else noticed this?

yeah the 4.10 seems to have a few issues.. freezinf during game play for me.. I have gone back to 4.9 even though I find that not all that stable either..may be as I a still avioding SP2 until that is stable enough! Never ends!

seems like the problem appears when you change the CATALYST AI setting from low to high at the catalyst control center.
reinstalled ati catalyst 4.10 and things seem ok just as long as you leave the setting at its default low setting
(or disable it all together)
